Just woke up. Go USA!

A vicious and intentional punch today by Colombian player Lady Andrade on Abby Wambach: http://i.imgur.com/DL8rG.gif Her comments afterwards were laughable. She even went on to call the play an accident. EDIT - New .gif link. EDIT 2 - http://i.imgur.com/hD3uo.jpg

And the Hope Solo meltdown begins.

Essentially, but then again anything can happen as we witnessed the other day when Japan ended up beating Spain in the Men's tournament.

USA Today Damn.

In Zack Greinke trade, #Brewers getting Nos. 2 (Jean Segura), 4 (John Hellweg), 9 (Ariel Pena) #Angels prospects according to BA. @MLBONFOX — Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) July 27, 2012 Dam, that's a lot.

I was clearly joking as the MLS All-Star is meaningless, but seeing as Chelsea is about halfway through their preseason they were closer to full strength on the backline then they had been in previous games. While I have little interest in the MLS, mainly because I have no local/regional team to root for, I'm sure MLS fans enjoyed the game last night.

Game is over man. The MLS All-Stars won 3-2. In other words, MLS > All of Europe. :glasses:

http://i.imgur.com/8oFfm.jpg Didn't get to watch any of the match, but I'm quite impressed with the character of the team. Coming back from a 2-0 deficit in the first half isn't something you see often.

Damn, what a contract. Will no doubt keep them in contention for years to come. Still have no idea how they plan on improving that offense though.
-
We've been bailing him out all season. It was also his 8th road win of the season. Go figure man.

Wow, looks like I missed a lot. Wake up this morning to find out that the Dodgers have traded for Hanley Ramírez and that Cole Hamels signed a 6-year, $144 million contract extension with the Phillies.

Well, they really have it set for them early on considering the draw they got. Assuming they take care of business in the group stage and quarterfinals, the earliest they would potentially face Uruguay or Brazil would be in the semifinals. I'll probably be rooting for Uruguay in the men's tournament, as I've come to really like a lot of their players. The USWNT has their first game tomorrow against France. While we did beat them in the semifinals of the World Cup, it was a close game until late, so a tie wouldn't surprise me.

With just under a week remaining, the 2012 MLB Trade Deadline is fast approaching! Things started to heat up yesterday as the Yankees acquired Ichiro Suzuki and the Marlins dealt Aníbal Sánchez and Omar Infante to the Tigers for prospects that included Jacob Turner. 12:43 PM: Dempster doesn’t want to be traded to the Braves, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports reports. Instead, the right-hander hopes to be dealt to the Dodgers. Was kind of excited when I first heard the news, but now I could care less what happens as it appears he isn't interested in playing Atlanta.

Men's tournament: http://i.imgur.com/Tq8QV.png Women's tournament: http://i.imgur.com/tw7Y1.png Still disappointed and disgusted that the United States U-23 men's team didn't qualify, but at least I get to root for Alex Morgan and the USWNT as they go for that Gold Medal.

Going to weird eh? The Yankees have acquired Ichiro Suzuki for RHPs DJ Mitchell and Danny Fahrquar, a source said. Yanks also get undisclosed cash in deal. — Jack Curry (@JackCurryYES) July 23, 2012 I always figured he was untouchable since the Mariners are owned by Nintendo.

#Tigers acquire Infante and A Sanchez from Marlins — Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) July 23, 2012 Jacob Turner is in the deal to #Marlins. — Jon Morosi (@jonmorosi) July 23, 2012 I miss Infante. Worst part of the deal is that Turner is coming to the NL East.

Sources: #Phillies offer Cole Hamels six-year contract http://on-msn.com/PnVFSu — FOX Sports: MLB (@MLBONFOX) July 20, 2012 Will he stay or will he go?

Just started following soccer big time near the beginning of 2011-12 Premier League season. Specifically the Premier League and a good bit of La Liga.

Game winning walk-off homer for the Red Sox. Well done, Cody Ross.
