Great work as always from you.

Carter is a beast. He's shooting 9-10 from the field and 5-5 from three. 26 points in 25 minutes.

The Lakers/Nuggets Preseason Game
OldChili replied to Real Deal's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
So many turnovers by the Nuggets. 6 for Afflalo, 5 for Carmelo and AC, 4 for Billups, and 3 by Graham. Lakers looking real good this pre-season. -
It works. I'll mess with it later this weekend.

I can't find a xcf plugin for photoshop. Maybe you could try finding a psd plugin for gimp and I could see what I could do.

It's one of your better sigs. Could use more blending, depth, and flow. Lighting is solid, but it should be more focused toward the main color render rather than the black and white one in the background. Move the text closer to the main render as well.

1) Using Real's logic, you've had a thousand years to study it, why haven't you figured all of it out by now? I mean, you've had such a long time. You must know everything there is to know about it by now. 2) These people were human, they made mistakes. How are you to be sure that every time they made a single mistake they would destroy the entire thing and start over? But consider this: the bible can't keep a single number consistent throughout its many scriptures. Looks like someone forgot to destroy their document and start over.
-
You know exactly what it means. But keep telling yourself that. Makes you feel better, eh?
-
It sure as hell isn't. If you honestly believe that, I'm not sure what to say. One is thoroughly studied by men today with better knowledge today, the other is based on scriptures written by man over and over again until the 1450s when the printing press was invented. If the bible can't even keep a single number consistent throughout its many scriptures, how can you trust the rest? And not to mention it practically steals the same story the Egyptians told 5000 years before the events of the bible ever took place. Very odd indeed. Are you joking at this point? We know exactly how certain diseases spread, what the hell are you even talking about? Just because you don't know the answer, doesn't mean it's not there. I doubt you think that way, though. It can be considered accurate, because we're always looking to improve on our understanding of the world. If new evidence doesn't support our theories, then we come up with a new conclusion that supports the evidence. So far everything we have found supports the theory of evolution. Everything. Until someone finds something to prove it otherwise, considering all the evidence we have for it, it's pretty much a fact at this point. That's a much better method of learning about the world around us, rather than trusting a book that steals its plot and ideas from different cultures. What does the bible have going for it? A book that was hand-copied for many centuries? Can't keep a single number consistent? Creating woman from a man's rib? A story taken by the Egyptians among many other stories before it? You keep coming back to this, "how do you now it doesn't exist?" First of all, I never said I believe in the big bang theory. We don't have much evidence to prove it at this point (although it makes much more sense than the simple answer that the bible comes up with of a single higher being creating everything), but evolution is a different matter. Everything we have found supports it. Nothing we have found refutes it. The bible states that woman was created from a man's rib. No proof, no evidence: nothing. You keep saying we have no proof, but saying it over and over again does not make it true. The fact of the matter is, we do. You tend to ignore it so you can keep believing in your god. Edit: And that somehow means god exists?
-
Cause that makes total sense. There's a lot of things in this world we can't prove, does that make them true? Can you prove to me a big pile of pink [expletive] that can't be seen, touched, felt, etc. doesn't exist? I thought not. Does that mean it exists? No. If billions of people believed in it, would that mean it exists? No. After all, a few hundred years ago almost everybody believed the earth was flat. I mean, they had no way to prove that it wasn't at that time. Did that make it true? No.

Great answer. -
Sweet, these inmates get to enjoy heaven while Gandhi burns in hell.

How are our questions even relevant? There are advances in technology every day. Since we don't have the technology now to know everything doesn't mean we should revert to the bible, mainly because it offers no answers. We didn't know how to cure certain diseases back then, does that mean there were no answers? Obviously not, as we know how to cure them today. The bible is practically the same as an Egyptian story told 5000 years before the bible was even written. The bible can't even keep a single number consistent throughout it's many different versions. What does that tell you? That's the difference.

Same here, I'm kind of curious. When was this exactly? I probably wasn't a member of this site yet.
-
What? Who says that if something is left unexplained then it's impossible? If something is left unexplained, we try to figure it out. If we can't, then we'll try to come up with the technology till we can. You're thinking about this way too much. Science is not an invention, even if you try to spin it that way. If you open your mind, you'll realize that nothing in the bible adds up. For one, it's not even original, but borrows almost exactly the same tale told by the Egyptians, 5000 years before the bible at that. How do you even begin to explain that? How can you truly believe that a Christian murderer who truly feels sorry gets a place in heaven, while Gandhi enjoys burning in eternal damnation? I don't care what you believe in. But to make unintelligent remarks such as "Just look at the world around you. Its too beautiful to just be chance and luck. God created this world for us to cherish, why would you doubt God?" and question what we believe in is beyond me. None of us here are going to convert the other and we're not going to agree. You believe what you believe in, and I believe what I believe in. There's no need to argue or try to spin things your way.

Well, if anything atheists are the ones experiencing the double standard. Someone tells me I'm going to straight to hell, they get no heat for that. I respond with there is no hell or god, and I'm getting slammed for it. As for this topic, as much as I really don't like Angelina Jolie, I sort of have her point of view. For those who believe in god, I really hope there is one for them. But for me, I don't need one to keep me going in life. Now for some reasons that I'm an atheist. First of all, the story of the bible is practically identical to another story the Egyptians told 5000 years before. That's not a coincidence. Second, I don't see how god created man then took out one of his ribs to create a woman. Seriously? Tell those stories today with someone that has grown up with no religious background and they'll laugh straight in your face. And another reason, the whole "you're going to hell if you don't believe" is very suspicious to me. To me, it was just a way to get more people to follow it, thinking they've got nothing to lose. You're telling me a Christian murderer who truly feels sorry for what he's done goes straight to heaven, while the likes of Gandhi are going straight to hell. Yea, that makes sense.
