  1. Blackberry Storm is bad IMO because the screen can easily break since it's easily pressed down much more than other phones. It's SUPPOSED to make it more realistic, but all it does is just make it less durable.
  2. Alright you know the drill, if you want rep, just come in here and post anything, and you get it!
  3. IMO the current baseball picture doesn't give other teams enough of a chance to make the playoffs, unlike in football, where you can finish just over or at .500 and still get in as a wild card. Here's how the playoff picture would look if the current playoff format allowed for 6 teams: AL West 2. LA Angels 97-65 5. Texas 87-75 Seattle 85-77 Oakland 75-87 AL Central 3. Detroit 86-76 6. Minnesota 86-76 Chicago 79-83 Cleveland 65-97 Kansas City 65-97 AL East 1. NY Yankees 103-59 4. Boston 95-67 Tampa Bay 84-78 Toronto 75-87 Baltimore 64-98 NL West 1. LA Dodgers 95-67 4. Colorado 92-70 5. San Francisco 88-74 San Diego 75-87 Arizona 70-92 NL Central 3. St. Louis 91-71 Chicago 83-78 Milwaukee 80-82 Cincinnati 78-84 Houston 74-88 Pittsburgh 62-99 NL East 2. Philadelphia 93-69 6. Florida 87-75 Atlanta 86-76 NY Mets 70-92 Washington 59-103 Playoffs would be set up in the same way that it's set up right now in the NFL, almost the exact same way to circa 2002. The 1st wild card team hosts the 2nd wild card team in a 5-game series, and the 3rd wild card plays the No. 3 seed, or the lowest seeded division winner. Here's how the playoff matchups would look: American League 6. Minnesota @ 3. Detroit 5. Texas @ 4. Boston National League 6. Florida @ 3. St. Louis 5. San Francisco @ 4. Colorado The No. 1 and 2 seeds would get a first round bye, just like in football, and they would host the winners of the first round series, with no. 2 hosting the highest seeded winner. Is this a good idea, or no? IMO it gives more teams the abilitly to compete in October instead of sitting at home watching the playoffs on TV. I just noticed that a bunch of 80+ win teams and even 85+ win teams are out of the playoffs.
  4. So yeah, even though Texas played in the tougher American League, and they were tied for the best record out of all of these teams, I'm gonna say San Francisco is the best non-playoff team, because they played in a division that had 2 playoff teams and still managed to finish above .500 and almost qualify for a playoff spot.
  5. Alright the game of week 4 is NY Jets @ New Orleans, the battle of the unbeatens. Discuss. I think that the Saints are gonna win because they have an almost unstoppable offense. Plus, Mark Sanchez is going on the road again and he's gonna have to air it out instead of merely game managing like he did against the Texans and Patriots.
  6. Have you noticed how the touch screen has revolutionized the cell phone market? Ever since the release of the Iphone, people have been wanting more and more phones with touch screens. Just remember a few years ago, where camera and flip phones were what everybody wanted, even though most cameras weren't even 1-megapixel. Then slider phones came out, and people wanted those. Now touch screens and texting phones are really popular. It's weird to imagine what's gonna be in the future, but I think sometime within the next 5 years, cell phones are gonna have up to 8-megapixel cameras, with more RAM, and more functions that make it similar to a netbook, except it will be extremely small. Discuss.
  7. Happy birthday man, hope u had a good one
  8. idk why either, i guess cuz people voted it that way. i personally wanted it to be new orleans @ buffalo because that game is gonna be crazy =D
  9. Well obviously I may have overlooked this game, but definitely could be an upset by the Titans. Maybe their pass defense will finally stand up and victimize a rookie quarterback. I mean, Mark Sanchez is the first quarterback to start 2-0 since Ryan Leaf back in 1998, and what happened to him? He was the biggest bust in the history of sports. Who knows, maybe Mark Sanchez will be a bust as well, probably not, but in all likelihood, anything is possible.
  10. Ok so apparently the Titans vs. Jets is the Game of the Week for Week 3. I thought the Saints @ Bills was gonna be a good shootout game, but since the majority of the votes are for Titans @ Jets, we'll go with that game. Discuss.
  11. Ok, I'll add that choice, even though it doesn't seem like it would be that good of a game, considering that the Titans are 0-2 and the Jets are 2-0. Looks like a recipe for blowout, but oh well. Maybe the Titans will surprise me.
  12. MODS: PIN THIS! Ok this is another one of my ideas I'm throwing out here but instead of having a bunch of threads for just 1 game every week, we should have a thread for the best game every week. So yeah, starting this week, vote on a game, and we'll discuss the matchups leading up to it, and then eventually the game while it's going on, and then the aftermath of the game. I'll update this daily, most of the time in the morning and later in the evening. Discussion for the game of the week will start every Wednesday at around 10 AM and end at Tuesday the following week at 10 AM, and then after that voting for next game of the week will occur. I'll update the thread to show which game has been selected. And the games of the week for week 10 are: CINCINNATI @ PITTSBURGH NEW ENGLAND @ INDIANAPOLIS DISCUSS.
  13. Hmmmmm... idk I just see the schedule being way too easy at first then more difficult. Plus, after the way Romo played last night, you're gonna see him being inconsistent and all a lot this season, especially with T.O. gone
  14. Ok, all I'm asking in this is, does anyone else think the Cowboys are gonna repeat the trend that they've had the last few years? And now I present, my completely UNBIASED predictions: Week 1 vs. Tampa Bay W 1-0 K well they already won this game so next... Week 2 vs. NY Giants L 1-1 Ok well they lost, but w/e Week 3 vs. Carolina W 2-1 Seeing the way that Jake Delhomme played against the Eagles, the Cowboys should win this one Week 4 vs. Denver W 3-1 Another crappy team in the AFC West, another win. Week 5 vs. Kansas City W 4-1 See above Week 6 bye So far so good, right? Week 7 vs. Atlanta W 5-1 This is gonna be one of the first good teams they face, hmmmm, idk if they're gonna win this game or not, for now, i say they will Week 8 vs. Seattle W 6-1 The Seahawks aren't the NFC West powerhouse they once were. Still a good team, but that doesn't mean they'll beat the Cowboys Week 9 @ Philadelphia L 6-2 Another good team they'll have to face, another loss Week 10 @ Green Bay L 6-3 Aaron Rodgers will have the upper hand in the rematch from last year Week 11 vs. Washington W 7-3 Even with the Redskins being a good team, the Cowboys will still win Week 12 vs. Oakland W 8-3 Another crappy AFC West team, another win Week 13 @ NY Giants L 8-4 Does anyone really see the Cowboys winning this game? Week 14 vs. San Diego W 9-4 The Cowboys take care of the one good team in AFC West sound familiar? Week 15 @ New Orleans L 9-5 Saints are too explosive offensively to lose Week 16 @ Washington L 9-6 Another loss leaves Cowboys on brink of collapse... Sound familiar? Week 17 @ Philadelphia L 9-7 Once again, Eagles arent same as last year and need another win to get in playoffs. Both teams at 9-6, Eagles dominate, Cowboys go home, Romo questioned again, you get the story.
  15. Lol just cuz he's 8'1" doesn't mean he has skills to run back and forth down the court consistently, guard a player that is probably twice as quick as him, and make free throws, all while keeping up with the pace of the game.
  16. I hope the Lions start 0-10 so they can break the Bucs' record of 26 straight losses =DDDDD
  17. It must really suck for people whose parents died in 9/11 cuz not only are their parents dead, but they're constantly reminded of it. Not only that, but it seems like it's worse than ever cuz it falls on a national holiday.
  18. Haha i txt between sets cuz most of the time ppl dont txt back until about 3 mins later anyways so its all good.
  19. You should get your friends to go with you, so you can avoid that. That's what I do. Motivates me more as well.
  20. Sad day indeed. I remember I was in 3rd grade all I cared about at the time was watching football and eating McDonald's. That day really changed my life more than any other day. Well, nvm, there is one day that changed my life even more.
