  1. I have a lot of differing thoughts on Colt McCoy. On one hand, I really like the kid and he has the head to succeed in a Jeff Garcia role, a simple game manager who limits turnovers while giving you considerable upside. If Cleveland continues to build their team the way they're indeed doing so, then I could see it, a strong running game compounded by good quarterback play is a recipe for, at the very least, moderate success in the NFL. I'm running to do some errands now, but when I come back home, I'm going to discuss it more. Looking forward to what more people have to say about him.
  2. I think ESPN keeps Holtz around for face value, because there is otherwise no reason to keep. He's hard to hear, hard of hearing and doesn't make any sense, his football sense these days has gone down the [expletive]ter. He has absolutely no clue what he is talking about sometimes.
  3. At least make the kick close. It wasn't even close.. give me a break.
  4. Came here just to post about GUSSSSSSSSSS. What a beautiful call. Was literally loling for 5 minutes.
  5. I merged the topic for you, just makes the board less cluttered. I would take Thomas Jones to be honest, especially if Todd Haley continues to cockblock Jamaal Charles instead of Thomas Jones. You have to salivate at the fact that Denver simply cannot stop the run, Kansas City should run rampant all over the Broncos.
  6. From Bill Simmons' Week 10 picks article.. Pretty funny, but it's definitely true. I love me some Gus Johnson, one of the best PBP announcers in the "sport" right now. Much better then whatever the hell NFL Network had on last night. Roddy White scores the winning touchdown and the guy sounds like it was just a mid-second quarter field goal.
  7. That's probably the most likely scenario, but I doubt Jerry's ego allows him to move back for a less glamorous player. One guy I'd really like in Dallas' scheme is Marcus Cannon, a guard out of TCU. Good fit, he's a mauler and Doug Free can stick at LT still.
  8. There are no offensive linemen worth taking within the top five. My top guy is Riley Reiff, providing he declares, and he right now is probably fringe top-15 value. There are holes at safety, and every offensive position but Left Tackle. Doug Free has been very good this year, way better then I expected him to play. AOA could be a good safety, but in general I think they need secondary help That's why I'd take Peterson.
  9. That's been proven otherwise. I used to be in the same boat as you, but I didn't a little more research and found that's simply untrue. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4623676 Here is one link.
  10. Man I absolutely put on a show today. Peyton Hillis for pick up of the year so far I think. Dude has been money for me all year in at least three other leagues, including my money league.
  11. A lot of teams shouldn't be ranked. There is no way Mississippi State should be the 18th best team in the Nation, lol. Just speaks about the parity in all football this year.
  12. Just fire the guy already. Why waste your team with this absolute clown. EDIT - I'm just going to re-name this into the Brad Childress thread, so there isn't a new thread everyday on him.
  13. LSU is still awful. I don't care what anyone says, they are not a good football team. Talk about a team that keeps catching breaks. I'm surprised they haven't lost three games with Jordan Jefferson playing Quarterback.
  14. Good for a lot of these mid-major programs that are winning football games and actually being recognized for it. UCF isn't a strong program by any means, but they have some good coaching down there and it's translating into some wins.
  15. I've heard of dos equis, but I've never had any. Rolling Rock is an America beer though, is it not? I doubt it's sold up here, but you never know.
  16. I'm a beer drinker. I can only think of two or three times I drink straight liquor or alcohol, and that was Crown Royal or Grey Goose. Both were meh. I never even liked beer till about a year ago, but I love it now. I'll even come home and crack open a brew and get down to some homework. It's my soda. Some beers I enjoy: http://ceoworld.biz/ceo/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/Heineken-logo.jpg http://scrapetv.com/News/News%20Pages/Politics/images-2/pabst-blue-ribbon-logo.jpg http://fastfood.ocregister.com/files/2010/02/molson1.jpg I've also tried (and enjoyed) Japanese beer. I also like Miller's Genuine Draft.
  17. It's a 3-season keeper, which means you can keep your guys for 3 years before having to drop them back into the draft pool. So 51 players won't be in the draft pool next year.
  18. I'm sure Norv is just splendidly happy that Patrick Crayton is his number one receiver. What an idiot.
  19. It's been a while since I've written anything of note, but I've been working hard throughout the year to break down several NFL and NCAA teams. So while I haven't neccessarily been writing, I've learned how to properly break down film and I've processed about 20 games from this year, various teams. I have about 50 games downloaded on an External HD that I still haven't gotten to. Full-time student, part-time writer doesn't exactly go hand in hand right now, lol. But here's what I've got in store for the next week. - Jake Locker and his NFL Draft prospects - A piece on Aaron Rodgers; I've broken down four seperate Green Bay games and I've found different things in his game. - A piece on the New England Patriots - The "Identity Crisis" Series: Special prize to anyone who figures out this potential mystery! - Launch of my NFL Draft stuff: Rankings, Mock Draft, Hot & Cold list, etc. - "The Munro Factor" A play on words of BCS models, I'm going to release in depth, weekly rankings. Seriously, the Identity Crisis thing is going to be the one I've worked hardest on. If anyone guesses it correctly I'll tell you, but I've worked real hard on it. Thanks for reading guys.
  20. By record I suppose, but there a bunch of teams clumped together for that distinction, it's too hard to say right now. I honestly thought New England didn't look all that great yesterday, Minnesota out-gained them and it was a great contest to watch. We'll see what happens, they need to keep getting games from Brandon Tate and Danny Woodhead to stay away from a stagnated offense. And someone tell BB to keep playing man. Jason McCourty is a real good player and he's much better in M2M.
  21. That's what I came in here to ponder about. How can one man be so inept in his own ST schemes and protections that he's now getting punts and kicks blocked on a weekly routine? Jesus, I could be a better Special Teams coach then this clown. How is this guy still on payroll?
  22. Knowing the combination of Shanahan/Snyder, the Redskins will use all available ammo for a move into the top-ten for a guy like Jake Locker. Would be perfect in that WCO Shanahan runs.
  23. Mark Ingram's year with the Tide last year, or the LaMichael James year this year with an absolutely dominant Ducks running game? Totally different facets of football, who would you take though?
