Patriots interested in reacquiring WR Branch?
The Great iBoldin replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in AFC Conference Discussion
My God, Deion Branch commanded a fourth round pick? I know the Patriots had draft picks coming out their asses but Deion Branch is beyond horrible. -

I've had it since Friday I believe. It's not bad, Weezy's definitely over his terrible stretch of "music" and he has a couple solid songs on this release. -
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/blog/dr_saturday/post/Deconstructing-Cam-Newton-Denard-Robinson-and-?urn=ncaaf-273714 Chris Brown is a great football writer and he de constructs a lot of quality film. He discusses Cam Newton, Denard Robinson, Terrelle Pryor and the emergence of the dual-threat quarterback. Give it a read, a fantastic article.

Guess which Packers player is injured now!

And that's the problem. A team who can't win at a .500 clip and make the playoffs is ridiculous. -

WK5: Philadelphia @ San Francisco
The Great iBoldin replied to Real Deal's topic in NFL Gameday Archives
I agree with everything you said. And I'm not sure how Singletary would do. I think he would either be viewed in a completely positive or a completely negative light. He'd be solid for recruiting, I think a lot of kids would want to play for the guy, but some of the prima donna kids that come out high school would get a rude awakening call. -

Also, did anyone else catch Cris Collinsworth's retarded remark in the second quarter, when the 49ers ran a draw on 3rd and 15 I believe? "The 49ers seen that the Eagles were in an amoebic looking defense and decided to run the draw!" Never heard of anyone lining up in an amoebic defense, but okay. -

Mike Singletary is only good for two things: kicking peoples [expletive] (or showing people his own [expletive]) and motivating his players. He's a hard-nosed coach who's from the "old school" but he has given himself [expletive]ty positional coaches (except Manusky) and people who can't call their own plays. -

Meh, go ahead. There's not as much as the gold you put out. It's the Gold Rush all over again. Alex Smith made more then one single poor decision tonight, give me a break. And it wasn't just that monumental mistake that simply cost San Francisco the game (one of the contributing factors). He had throws into double coverage, throws to the wrong shoulder, he made a wrong read on a read option. He wasn't the main reason the 49ers lost, but he certainly didn't come out looking like an angel. Maybe Alex Smith is going to be a scapegoat in San Francisco. Actually he will be. Because the 49ers haven't won a game and the only game he's played very well in was the New Orleans game, and he didn't really come on until the 4th quarter. Let's stop protecting Alex Smith and expose him for what he is: A back-up quarterback who should never play another down as a full-time starter unless it's spot duty. Trent Edwards suffered from the same problem: he's not a winner. Alex Smith cannot win football games. He's been supplied with EVERYTHING he needed to succeed. The defense has shown up, he got his same coordinator for two years, he took his pay cut, he was surrounded with exceptional talent. The offensive line was rebuilt with two new starters and everyone had lofty expectations. Two things are clear: Alex Smith sucks, and Mike Singletary is an absolutely terrible head coach. -

Beautiful throw, Alex! You don't even belong in the CFL, you useless tit. -

The fact that the 49ers are still in this game also attests to the mediocrity of Philadelphia. -

I first want to give two servings of: http://fatfinch.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/american-crow.jpg - wikipedia.org On to the main course. - EastCoastNiner, July 28th, 2010 - EastCoastNiner, July 16th, 2010 - Just for the lols. Kevin Kolb is on the same level as Carson Palmer and Alex Smith. - EastCoastNiner, July 15th, 2010 - Prodigy, July 16th, 2010 - EastCoastNiner, July 17th, 2010 - Prodigy. Sarcasm, but still is lol worthy. - ECN. Iupati has been good, but Davis is an abomination at Right Tackle. Move him inside. I'm sure there are more gems out there. -

San Diego is awful.

Packers keep shooting themselves in the foot, and it's going to cost them. They were my tentative Super Bowl pick, but I'm highly considering re-thinking that. Washington's a scrappy team though. They have some good wins with some huge deficiencies in their line-up.

There is no problem. He is one of the worst five starting quarterbacks in the league. Palmer, Cassel, Alex Smith, Derek Anderson, etc.

Being in Vancouver is kind of tough for professional teams. My favorite sports team is the Canucks, that's self-explanatory. Season ticket holder for four years leading up to last year and I haven't missed out on a game in three years. In the NFL I'm an Anquan Boldin fan first and foremost. But I do like Arizona now as well. Sue me. I also enjoy watch Baltimore, Green Bay and the Jets. I guess I'm not a "fan" of any team in the NFL per say, but I am a Boldin fan. I don't follow baseball too much but we get Toronto and Seattle shoved down our throats. The Jays are "Canada's team" and Seattle is a trip on the I5 away. I was a huge Grizzlies fan back in the day, but since they left I don't have the desire to watch the NBA like I used to. Therefore I don't like any one team. I like to follow players instead of teams for. Ekpe Udoh is the flavor of the month right now. I actually probably put NCAA sports (Basketball and football) on the same level as the NFL. I again don't have a favorite team because I don't attend any American universities. However, I'm a huge Pac-10 supporter. Being recruited by UWashington for field lacrosse also gives me a soft spot for the Huskies. And Jake Locker.

I know, it's just so stupid how one game against a very good team moves you down 7 spots. While Oklahoma can actually move up three spots after beating Air Force by 3 at home. So skewed.
-
What. A. Joke. The Associated Press is basically telling me that LSU is 22 points behind being rated a better team than Alabama? Is this real life? LSU struggles to beat Tennessee at home, somehow pull out an extremely lucky win against Florida. They are no where near a top-ten team, they are absolute trash at quarterback and are fairly mediocre in the trenches (except for Drake Nevis). Patrick Peterson is filthy but come on, LSU is no where near Alabama's level. 'Bama is being persecuted because they lost one game. I guess that automatically means they should fall down seven spots. LOL. They really think Auburn, who had to kick a late field goal to beat [expletive]in' Kentucky? And that automatically means they are a better team then Alabama? The only teams I can even fathom being ahead of 'Bama are tOSU, UO, Boise, and TCU. Nebraska and Oklahoma? Give me a break. Seriously? Oklahoma? The funny thing is that South Carolina is a very, very good team. They got 'Bama on the third game of a brutal SEC stretch and had two weeks to prepare. With the burning trash that is Dre Kirkpatrick, it was easily foreseen Alshon Jeffrey was going to run rampant on that defense. 1. Oregon 2. Ohio State 3. Alabama 4. Boise State 5. TCU 6. Nebraska 7. Auburn 8. SCar 9. Oklahoma (It came down to Oklahoma and LSU..LOL) 10. Utah

Bradford. Detroit's secondary is simply awful.

No. 1 Alabama at No. 19 South Carolina
The Great iBoldin replied to Cobb's topic in College Football
I think LaMichael James is an incredible back, but I don't think he's better then Mark Ingram. Maybe he has better NFL potential (though that's debatable too) but Ingram has been doing it for longer. He's a Heisman winner for a reason. -

LSU wouldn't come within 17 points of 'Bama. They're awful. 'Bama should drop down to three. A hellacious stretch of the schedule and they still have a better track record then Boise.
