Don't buy Nnamdi to the Jets. It'd make the team that much better, but I don't think the package can be made for his caliber. I also don't believe the Jets really need the top two cornerbacks in the NFL (arguably). Veteran Free Agent is the way to go. Or invest in a guy like Dominique Franks.

Canada absolutely obliterated the Russians in every single facet of the game. It started right from puck drop and it ended when the final horn sounded. Ovechkin, Malkin, Kovy, Semin all shut down by the sheer awesome defensive play. I've honestly NEVER seen a team dominate a skilled group like Russia the way Canada did before. It honestly wasn't fair. Two different teams out there.

Joannie Rochette gave a wonderful performance at the Coliseum, a few days after her mother passed away coming to Vancouver. She was no doubt in medal contention before, and she sits in third after tonights short program. It would be amazing to see her win Gold, but even catching the Japanese skater would be great. Also, Canada. Russia. Tomorrow, revenge on our minds. Luongo was stellar against Germany, and he's rounding into form. Gonna be an amazing game.

I know that there are replays on both the CTV and NBC Olympic websites, but they may start from a certain time. They have it replaying on my TSN right now, so it may be on NBC sometime today.

Canadians should be familiar with the situation from the 2002 games. Curtis Joseph was replaced by Brodeur after having a brutal run into the Olympics and struggling mightily against Sweden. Canada came out as a completely new team and won Gold. Maybe Luongo can give Canada that kind of reassurance.

I actually think Canada can contain Russia quite easily as long as Pronger and Niedermayer step up there friggin' game. Keith, Doughty and Seabrook have all been great.
-
That's an amazing play by Kesler but that kills. To totally dominate a team like Canada did, and have it robbed like that is BRUTAL. It sucks. 'Grats to the Americans. We're gonna destroy the Germans though.
-
Crosby again. We got ourselves a game!
-
Ryan Miller has been insane tonight, he's single-handily taking this game for the Americans. Calling for LOUUUU on Tuesday because we aren't winning this game.
-
Got to stop playing so undisciplined in our own zone. We need a big hit or another kill to get the motion going again.
-
Fine, if Backes was pushed, so was Getzlaf, because he certainly didn't go into Miller himself. I don't think either are penalties, but the impact was the same. Not to mention Orpik got away with a terrible call before Crosby. Take them both or just take Orpik for the hold.
-
I don't get how the Getzlaf Goalie Interference is a penalty in the first, but the Backes play before the US isn't. Let's call it with some consistency guys.
-
Canada's been heavily outplaying the Americans and if it wasn't for Blowdeur's God-awful performance it'd be a Canadian lead.
-
Kronwall just leveled Mikhaliev or whatever his name is. Great hit, it's 2-0 Sweden, glad to see Sedin get on the board. Belarus is leaving Mezin out to dry.
-
A bit of both. Germany is frustrating the Swedes, not a lot of open space to roam out there for their better players.
-
I don't know how Robertson let that lead pass him by, but he did. Silver is still good though, Gold would of been better but whatever.

I told my dad that too, I thought he was better then the fifth place Canadian, and possibly the 3rd place American. But what do we know.

Wireless Problem

C1.1R is what it says. -
I thought he was the best one, there was a close chunk, but I would give it to him as well. A little hometown bias, but I think it's the same situation as last night's Women's Mogul. He skied the best. I'll bet both of us know next to nothing about Olympic mogul competition, so I'll put it in the hands of the judges who do know. Who do you think should have won? Also, I'm glad the big douche Begg-Smith didn't win. What a [expletive]in' loser that guy is, and his transition to Australia is garbage. Such an arrogant prick as well.

Wireless Problem
The Great iBoldin replied to The Great iBoldin's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
I don't think it's a router problem, because this just occurred again after having no prior problems of it for about a month. When it does work it works great, I have no problems and I get real high speed. When it doesn't, it just becomes a pain in the [expletive] for me because I hate using our home set-up. -
Computer illiterate iBoldin is here with another dandy of a computer problem - this time a wireless issue. Wireless works most of the time, but there are these gaps of about 3 weeks every few months or so where my wireless internet just won't work. I'll have the network I'm trying to connect to (my own) but every time it will come up as "Disconnected" and the only way to access internet on my laptop from home is through an Ethernet cable hooked up to the router. It's a very odd problem, but I've had no prior success in combating this. Lkr, Real, or anyone at all with prior experiences; Any suggestions? Thanks.

Apparently there were rioters today on Robson, smashing storefront windows. Funny thing was, they apparently aren't Canadians. Why can't people just accept the Olympics are here, and to just enjoy the moment we're not going to experience in Canada again for probably another 20 years or so? It's leaving a black cloud (unlike the one hanging around outside today) over the Games, and that's just not fair to the people who want to enjoy it, and especially the organizers. Also, congrats to the Swiss who won the first medal of this years games! I thoroughly enjoy these events such as the Moguls. Hopefully Jenn Heil brings one home tonight.

There were a few mess-ups here and there, kind of expected - maybe not to that magnitude, of course, but nonetheless expected - but overall I think they did a great job incorporating our national heritage, our aboriginal groups and our overall goal of the Olympic games. I thought they did a great job. One of the better ceremonies I can remember watching.
