I love me some Curtis Lofton. He plays the middle of that Cover 2 phenomenally. What a great player.

I've watched all of Green Bay's games this season. Don't you think schemes and protection play any part of a NFL offense? The Packers run a loose west coast offense with a zone blocking scheme up front. It doesn't really work for them, but it's in place since at least the Holmgren days. A WCO doesn't call for down field looks a ton, it rarely does, maybe ten or so times per game. The zone blocking scheme also doesn't allow for many down field throws because it's meant for quick hitting throws. The protection has been horrid. You can't expect any quarterback to do better then what Rodgers did in the first Minnesota game. 8 sacks and 385 yards? And OSU, please tell me where I said Greg Jennings is a bad player? I never said, nor did I infer, but nice try. I said he isn't getting seperation this year, and he hasn't been. It's been a major void in his game, and Pack fans are calling him on it. He's not beating the jam at the line and Driver isn't good enough anymore to take away coverages being rolled to his side. Maybe when Jermichael Finley develops it'll open it up more for Jennings, but right now he's been very pedestrian. And they score just fine, lol. Maybe if Green Bay had a running back and an offensive line worth anything, they would be scoring more. It's hardly the quarterback.

I meant this type of thing, it just came out wrong. Anyways. Watch the video. The intent was there to gouge his eyes. There are no doubts in that. He didn't actually do it, though. Ealey got up and played the very next snap. If his eyes were really gouged, he's gone for the game, maybe more. That mere fact doesn't make this a multi-game suspension. Please also consider that his helmet had been knocked off twice prior to that point, he had been poked in the eye which did result in Spikes having to go to the sidelines. This wasn't just your normal game. SEC game, Florida and Georgia. Tempers had been flaring all game. This is heat of the moment [expletive]. It happens every game. It should've been a full game, but whatever. What's done is done.
-
They may not gouge their eyes out every other play, but I didn't say that. The reason you don't see it is because camera's rarely are able to get inside of those piles. Ask any player that has played at a high caliber high school level. Players punch, pinch, grab, scratch, gouge, stomp, kick every single scrum just like that one. It's not an unusual occurrence.
-
I suppose you guys have never played football before. This happens during a lot of points during the game. The only reason this one is magnified is because it's a player of Spikes' caliber, Florida, and an Urban Meyer coached team. Plus the camera caught it. If we suspended every player that did something like this during a game, we wouldn't be playing the games at all.

Well when you're receivers outside of Donald Driver this year, fail to get any seperation, it's a little tough. Couple that with the league's worst offensive line, I can see why he holds the ball. You can't possibly say because Rodgers holds onto the ball a little longer some of the time, that's why his team loses. That's ridiculous.

Minnesota is for real this year. They've always just missed that one piece, but Favre's been playing his best football in a long time. How long he can keep it up remains to be seen, but they have the running game, and the ability to stop the run, that makes teams so special in the long run.

lmao. Baltimore came ready to play, Denver didn't. End of story. The Ravens outplayed the Broncos in every little facet of the game. Let's get real here.

Last Thing You Bought 2009
The Great iBoldin replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
Most of the time when you pre-order something, you're planning to buy it. I know it doesn't commit you to buying it, but the thought process for me is, I'm going to pay for it now, so I'm not tempted to do anything else with it, then get it. -

Yes it is. If you're planning on spending 70 bucks on MW2, but want to make sure you don't buy something else and end up not getting it, it's worth it. You're going to spend the money to the store anyways. -
ohai USC. Get owned.

This is the best the Ducks have played in such a long time. I'm pumped up watching this. Maybe my man Bo Lokombo will get sometime at MIKE before the day is done, haha.

Jizzed my pants listening to the first verse in "Mirror's". I dislike Bun B, but that's my favorite song on the album. The whole thing's amazing.

How should/will Farve be welcomed?
The Great iBoldin replied to ChosenOne's topic in NFC Conference Discussion
They were hardly cocky. They had a guy with obvious NFL potential rotting away on the bench for three years, supposedly taken "under Favre's wing". Look what Aaron Rodgers is doing right now. The Packers were putting themselves at risk if they had Rodgers on the bench any longer. -
The team has Derrick Ward, Ernest Graham, Carnell Williams and their kick return, who escapes my memory, also takes snaps. Hardly a need.

Champ Bailey is STILL the Best CB In the NFL
The Great iBoldin replied to Revis Island's topic in AFC Conference Discussion
Advanced Metric site, but I watched the game, and he didn't cover Colston nearly as much as you or I may have thought. -
Chiefs' Johnson uses Twitter to slam head coach

And part of that is due to his god-awful quality of play. He provides nothing to Kansas City. -
Champ Bailey is STILL the Best CB In the NFL
The Great iBoldin replied to Revis Island's topic in AFC Conference Discussion
Revis played 48% of his snaps against Colston. Not to mention he shut down Andre Johnson and Randy Moss. -
May as well count out Manny Lawson and his 1.5 sacks then.
-
You've just said Jason Witten's overrated a bunch of times. Do explain.
-
Again, it's too hard to make a list for me. I will say I really like Andre and Calvin Johnson, and with Calvin building a bit of consistency with Stafford before the injury to Stafford's knee, he could be put up on a pedestal soon enough. Andre Johnson's just playing some unbelievable football. Anyways, to all the people who have Larry Fitzgerald as their number one, did you just watch the playoffs? He's been a bit above average this year, and that's because he doesn't have his sidekick Anquan Boldin. I'm one of the few that believes Boldin is a borderline top-five receiver. And I'm not being a homer, because Boldin opens up the intermediate and deep routes for Fitzgerald, and his tough as nails attitude allows him to be a threat in across the middle. He's one of the toughest players, regardless of position, in the NFL right now.
-
I think they're going to take this and run with it, because this isn't the Giants team I've seen, and they've been decimated by injuries. But, a win's a win, and this makes us the best team in the NFC West again.
-
Antonio Gates is garbage, he's on the tail-end of his career. Can't block, his route running has diminished, and he's gotten softer as the days go by. No thanks. 1. Jason Witten 2. Tony Gonzalez Then a mix n' match of Dallas Clark, Heath Miller, Owen Daniels, and Zach Miller. And, you can't firmly say someone is the best blocking tight end. Have you reviewed every tight end's technique on more then one occassion? How often do they stay into block? How often do they run routes, or play in short yardage situations? It's completely subjective, but their is no clear cut "leader". So get that [expletive] out of here.
-
lol. Jason Witten's the most well-rounded tight end in the game right now. If Vernon can keep this up throughout the year, then cool, I'll admit he's finally matured. So far, a few good games doesn't consulate a break out season.

Took the Raiders in a bit of an upset. Kris Jenkins' injury is going to be the downfall of the Jets. Everyone wants to talk about the exotic blitz packages Ryan likes to run, but 95% of the time it's now not going to work, because it starts with Jenkins up front. Oakland's Zone Scheme up front now doesn't have to worry about blocking a real gamechanger. McFadden is going to spring some runs, and Michael Bush/Zach Fargas can run the middle efficiently.
