Well it depends on what teams run. It's not if teams run a 4-wide spread like most do to take advantage of their athletes, but some like to run the easy offset-I formations that do need a tight end, so it depends on what the system calls for.

The Colts looked vulnerable against the 'Phins, didn't have much success running the football, Peyton pulled them from the grave. If the Cardinals can half match the production Ronnie Brown & Company laid down, open up our play action like we did against Jacksonville, I seriously believe we'll win. I'm just very afraid of Freeney and Mathis, moreso the match-up with Gandy. I'll say Arizona pulls the surprise dub out of the hat.

Apparently the Eagles plan on unleashing their "Pitbull" formation with Mike Vick. Pretty interesting name to say the least, but they should have decent success against guys like Tamba Hali who has trouble containing his edge and Mike Vrabel who's lost a bit of a step. Kolb showed some flashes, he got some time back there because the offensive line looked very good. I still think they should run up the gut at the inexperienced 'backers like Corey Mays and the nose in the Chiefs 34. No reason Philly should lose.

You lol at Roethlisberger being a top five guy, then proceed to put Eli Manning up there? Jesus Christ. This season, so far, is incredibly hard to say, especially not being able to factor last year. 1. Drew Brees 2. Peyton Manning 3. Joe Flacco 4. Philip Rivers 5. Matt Ryan HM to Sanchez, Roethlisberger, Manning, Rodgers.

Besides the debacle at the end of last year, nearly all of intra-division games in the NFC East are tough, ground and pound type of games, you should know that by now. There's no easy wins in the NFL, anyways.

12-4 spread wise, pretty good I suppose. I only went 10-6 in the pick'em, kind of weird lol.

If Indy wins, I just made myself 500 or so bucks in my dad and I's pick 'em pool.

Frank Gore with the imaginary jizz on Warren and his Seahawks. .
-
Can't say I'm surprised about Hass. Made of glass, but Willis just laid into him.
-
Gore gets back on track, the 'Hawks defense is reeling early on. A touchdown that'll likely get called back.

I hate to spark a discussion like this, but the Pats look extremely pedestrian through two games in the season. The offensive line blows, and Tom Brady, while not getting a lot of time back there in the pocket, isn't exactly doing himself any favors.

Yeah, the Jets seriously look for real. Just don't get why Schottenheimer took so long to open up the playbook for Sanchez, because once he did it was lights out, he's making NFL throws, extremely smart decisions (like taking the sack instead of heaving it away leading up to the two-minute warning).

Put the homer glasses away bud, it's ridiculous. Are you even watching the game? Jones-Drew has been stuffed at the line of scrimmage or near it half the time. He broke off one big run (36 yards) but if you take that run away, he has a pitiful 3.3 YPC average, David Garrard looks horrible, only throwing for an average of 6.3 Yards per completion. Warner's thrown 2 incompletion's. Yeah, I know. 2 incompletion's the entire game . He may have been shaken up a bit, but there's probably a reason outside of that why Matt Leinart is in the game now.

It's not that the Eagles defense is bad, because it's a top-ten unit. Brees is simply amazing, he feels or senses pressure and knows his escape route of receiver everytime. He's aware of so much that goes on around the field. He isn't going to make 4 or 5 pre-snap reads or adjustments because it's already being processed.

Like an online league, or a sim league for your board?

We're shutting down the Jaguars in every facet of the game right now. MJD has been held in check, our run defense is phenomenal again. Kurt's an amazing 18/19. Boldin is back with 6 first-half catches, Breaston had a nice 22 yard play that set up a touchdown. This is the team that went to the Super Bowl.

Honestly 'Bama doesn't look so hot. At least what I found. Greg McElroy is going to get exposed playing a defense like Florida's. Florida's d-line is good enough to match up with the Tide's backs. LSU will be a great game though.

The Pack brought pressure against the Bears and had immense success. The Bengals have about half the offensive line Chicago does. I really don't think this one will be pretty.

Depends on the system. 4-3 defense, I probably end up taking a dominant end like Mario Williams, or anyone along the defensive line, like Albert Haynesworth. Someone who's going to make easy for linebackers to flow to the football, and make plays. Rarely do you want a cornerback. Shutdown corners almost come a dime a dozen. Look at Brandon Flowers last year, fantastic in the Tampa 2 as a rookie. Asomugha is a quality player, but you can get by with average corners. In a 3-4, Universe made a quality call with Vince Wilfork. A true nose tackle makes it so easy for your linebackers to flow to the ball. Wilfork takes on double teams all game. Him or Haloti Ngata, actually.

Currently, I would honestly take Philip Rivers. He's got a certain swagger about him that Super Bowl quarterbacks possess, and not many outside of those quarterbacks have. Wonky arm motion and all, he's got a helluva deep ball and his accuracy is beginning to be spot on. He's a leader, he plays well under pressure, and is in control of one of the best offenses in the league. Hard not to like the guy leading your team. Honestly, him or Roethlisberger.

A cross-country type voyage, and an early start. 0-2, anyone?
-
When did I ever insinuate the Cardinals in what I said? Even then, the Cards have clearly gotten better since the 'Hawks Super Bowl year. If the 49ers did what they did to the Cardinals offensive line, just think what they'll do to old man Walter Jones and company. Won't be pretty. I just call 'em as I see 'em. Seahawks are still overrated by you.

So is half the NFC.

Just think. Jake Locker completely transformed his throwing motion, his accuracy is so much better this year, and he has rejuvenated his footwork under Sarkisian. Nick Montana is just going to be delicious under Sark.
