  1. Fair enough. The ability to practice is the biggest thing for Vick right now anyways.
  2. He's a first-option on a team that'll consistently make the playoffs as a 7 or 8 seed. A second fiddle on a championship team I think though.
  3. Dallas is still a much better team then Washington on offense, and their skill on offense is a wider margin then Washington's margin on the defensive side of the football. I'll take Dallas 9/10 honestly.
  4. http://canucks.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=497482&navid=van-home-dl Gillis jizzes on the NHL again. $5.333 cap hit. Discuss.
  5. Mmmmm, college football is back! Can't wait, NC State/SCar then UO/Boise. Go Ducks.
  6. Adrian Peterson has a knack for fumbling, but that has got to be one of the most unheard of things. Your homerism is totally getting in the way there. That "automatically" count out the Vikings when the game is on the line? Get real. The Vikes brought in Brett Favre to be a game manager, not to sling the ball 30 times a game. He's erratic, sure. Guess what? Your beloved Cutler threw just 4 less interceptions, because he has a knack for not letting the play develop and trying to get by solely on his arm. He has somewhat poor decision making, and he's green in the fact that he makes youthful errors. Both known facts. By using your logic, Cutler can't be trusted when the game is on the line because of that, apparently. Question. How do you expect Orlando Pace to handle Jared Allen if he can't even handle Elvis Dumervil in pre-season? How do you expect Matt Forte to run wild on that run defense? Both aren't going to happen. Still like Minnesota over Chicago until those questions are answered. Hell, I'll even take Green Bay right now. Rodgers > Cutler, so it must be true, amiritez?!
  7. Your not sorry or remorseful at all. You keep crawling back to attend to personal agendas and to stir people up with attitude and inability to let things go.
  8. Meh, Bleacher Report, not a solid enough rumor for me, even if it was by Scout's "affiliates". It's a crock, in my opinion, no major trade like that is going to go down just before the season starts. This Sayre guy, or anyone else for that matter it seems, doesn't have a clue about the current Boldin/Arizona situation.
  9. Especially this year. Playing the NFC East, AFC North and throw Tennessee and a stingy Miami team in there? I foresee another 8-8 year.
  10. Source? Anyways, I don't believe it. I wouldn't trade Boldin for Marshall straight up, never mind giving up our future starting quarterback as well.
  11. Blue Bombers add another playmaker to their stacked secondary. Obviously they're starting to turn their season around, this will definitely contribute to it. Jonathan Hefney, the former Tennessee safety, is also in Winnipeg.
  12. Mentch, a couple of things on the NFC. Why not mention the addition of fellow first-rounder Clay Matthews when you mentioned Raji in your Green Bay paragraph? NFC South wasn't near the toughest division in the league last year. Your using a myth to try to explain why Michael Turner COULD be injured this year. Explain Kurt Warner and the Cards explanation please. It's rather bland on why it could happen. SJax keeps getting injured because the Rams couldn't block a cold. Jason Smith adds a lick of integrity and Alex Barron, while not a pass blocker, is a terrific mauler in the run game. And, on the AFC. Some of your explanations suggest that you haven't followed the NFL at all during off-season or pre-season, lol. Fred Taylor signed with New England. It's not a wildcat "thing", it's a formation. Joe Flacco has had an exceptional pre-season and proved against the Jets first-team AND the Panthers first-team defense. Yes, the Jets did need Mark Sanchez. They have very few needs outside of depth. You really expect them to continue to start the likes of Kellen Clemens and Brett Ratliff (who they'd still have if it wasn't for the Sanchez trade). He brings a face to a listless franchise. Love your Bengals pick. You didn't finish your Titans sentence.
  13. I already know that the NFC West is weak, I wasn't here to argue that, but it's not as seemingly weak as you make it out to be. San Francisco and St. Louis are both going to be surprising teams this year (St. Louis is my incredibly dark horse). Both teams move to a power run game, and Spagnuolo is going to do wonders in Missouri. They've never had consistent, great coaching for more then a period at a time since Martz. They already have defensive pieces in place. But I'm not here to argue that. Since when is a bottom ten offensive line "pretty good"? You've yet to see how Unger reacts to starting from day one, and he's not physically strong enough, nor stout enough at the point of attack to be one of the better centers in the game from day one. Your overrating a Duck prospect because he's simply that; an Oregon Duck. Nothing more, nothing less, he's a projects who at least found a zone blocking scheme to operate in. That's the only system Unger will succeed in. Of course Locklear's going to have to play the blindside, look at Walter Jones. The man is washed up incredibly bad, can't stay on the field for a decent period at a time. You can't even get a proper sample size of how he plays now a days because he's always injured. Anyways. Sean Locklear isn't built for the blindside. He's a right tackle playing out of position. Great right tackle, marginal left tackle. Hasselbeck cannot afford marginal with his back and other assorted injuries as of now. As it stands, Wrotto, Sims and Willis are merely stopgap solutions, Willis not even a capable starter. The only reason Unger is even starting right now is because the Hawks depth is so porous and weak that he's being forced into something that I don't think he's able to do right now, and it's going to show on the field. He's lucky there's no hog defensive tackles in the NFC West right now, because put him in the NFC North and you'd be complaining how much of a bust he is already. I'll agree with you on the weapons. Carlson is a good weapon, but he is still developing, you act as if he's a veteran already. Although I guess he should be. Your paying $5 million for a number three option in Branch, I like Deon Butler and think he will be the better PSU wide-out from this draft class (not Derrick Williams) eventually. But Housh is now 31, and last year he lost a step, on the field and on the stat-sheet. The running game isn't that because look at your starter. Julius Jones? Please. At least you have Forsett and Devin Moore for the future, although Forsett is more of a scatback and Devin Moore is even moreso. I agree about Mebane. Good player, good motor, but that's it. Just a good player. Please don't call Nick Reed a stud. Just.. don't. He's a situational pass rusher with a quality motor, but he's doing these things against 2nd and 3rd stringers. He blocked a punt.. guess who he did it against? You probably guessed it; a back-up punter kicking behind a back-up laden line. He won't even start, will he? As a Cardinals fan, I hope so. As a fan of the NFL, I hope not. And as a fan of Oregon, I hope not. I don't want the kid to get embarrassed. Patrick Kerney blows and can't stay healthy, end of that story. Marcus Trufant had one good year. I like the guy and everything, but one good year. Let's see what he can do this year. Ken Lucas has lost a step. Josh Wilson got repeatedly embarrassed by our receiving core last year, and his forte of being fast is negated by the fact that Donnie Avery and Josh Morgan had career games on him last year. I'll try and find the statistic, but it's on an advanced NFL metric site. You've got to be kidding me about Travis Fisher. There's a reason he didn't make the Lions. Brian Russell and Deon Grant are both exceptionally brutal. Even my dad, who doesn't watch Seattle, commented on how bad they were during a game last year. I don't care what Deon Grant leads, he doesn't do a very good job of leading by example. Yeah, it comes down to stopping the run. Simply put, Seattle was 20th in the run game last year (Quick estimation on my part, but it's around there) and they won't be any better this year.
  14. If you're going to ridicule someone, at least have the decency to spell one of the NFL's all-time greats correctly.
  15. I also lol'd at this. Patriots line is one of the most overrated in football. Orlando Pace looked like an undrafted free agent blocking Elvis Dumervil, the Bears have a player who's never going to amount to his draft spot in Chris Williams, Olin Kreutz is washed up, they team doesn't have much at guard. Josh Beekman is the only nice piece besides Williams. Were you being serious or were you just being a homer?
  16. Haha. I'm sure the Broncos are still going to fetch a little more value then Reggie Brown, Kevin Curtis and a player that's merely a 2 or 3 week stopgap.
  17. I don't really care about how the whole team was injured. It sucks, it was a wasted year in the fact that; a) Some starters are too old now. B) You didn't compete for anything. Especially in Holmgren's last year there. But it's something you can't dwell on, because guess what, new season, but probably the same type of results. 12 wins? Are you serious? I can see right away after your first two games (The Rams, who the 'Hawks notoriously struggle with) and the 49ers (Also a tough intra-division game) they play a streak where they probably lose 5 in a row or just 1 of 5. I don't think your beating Chicago, you certainly aren't beating the Colts, the Jags perhaps, I'll guarantee right now that you'll struggle with the Cards, then you go to Dallas. In all fairness, the best record the 'Hawks could have out of the starting gate 3-4, worst case 1-6. You then play three road games in a row after Detroit, at Arizona, Minny and St. Louis. I don't think your beating us at home, and Minny is also going to be hell. I'll give you the Rams season split. You end the year out with a tough game in Houston, in Green Bay and host Tennessee, who'll probably be resting starters by that time. Tell me straight up what teams you expect to be to go 12-4, 11-5, 10-6 or even 9-7. The way I see it, you guys split with the 49ers and Rams, perhaps the Cards, and go 5-11, maybe 6-10. Best case is 8-8. And I didn't say anything about the Cards, but I expect them to win the division again with an improved secondary, and overall defense. Won't make any promises though.
  18. Edge James to help with their running game? Please. The only reason he looked so good in the playoffs was because he had pretty much the entire final half of the year off because of mediocre play. He's done. Housh is going to get shut down by every big name corner in the division. DRC, Clements, McFadden, even Bartell. Why do you like their chances? Lack of run game? Terrible defensive line? Old man at Quarterback? They have two safeties that wouldn't even make a major college program right now. They don't deserve to be in the NFL.
  19. http://www.patriots.com/mediacenter/index.cfm?ac=VideoNewsdetail&pid=38624&pcid=82 6 minutes is a Belichick. Bruschi comes in at around 15.
  20. K.. so why are people saying Seattle is going to win the NFC West? I will literally do a Gyula and eat a piece of paper that says Seahawks > NFC West if they win. Literally. Mark it down. Hasselbeck was garbage in limited time last year, he'll be garbage now. No running game. Walter Jones is washed up, he'll get injured once again. The time has one of the weakest defensive lines in football, the only thing I like on that line is Mebane. The linebackers are the only bright spot. Secondary is very weak.
  21. NHL '10 Online League Sign-Ups Put your gamertag and a list of 3 teams you want if your interested in signing up. I'll run this, it'll be on the 360, hoping to get a fair turn out, of course we probably won't get all 30 but we should get a decent amount. I have Vancouver. GT is munro09.
  22. I lol'd. Sproles is a scat back, he's never going to be able to handle a full load at the NFL level.
  23. You didn't even give anything up for Calvin. AND you got Greg Olsen. Are your friends retarded?
  24. Let's look at the cities with teams in all four professional sports: - Atlanta - Boston - Chicago - Dallas - Denver - Detroit - Miami - Minny - NYC - Philly - Phoenix - Bay Area - Toronto - Washington Out of those, I'll take Atlanta or Miami.
