  1. The MLS is never going to develop into anything more then a middle-tier league and frowned upon by supporters of European clubs because of games like this. What is the benefit for the MLS by getting hammered year in and year out to Manchester United or Barcelona or whoever? I post on a Whitecaps forum, this echoes my thoughts on it, but he puts it better then I could I think: I've said my piece on another thread: MLS teams should NOT play Man Utd, Chelski, Barca, Real Madrid, AC Milan, Inter, or Bayern Munich, ie clubs that have just won, or could win, the European Championship. They should play the big fish in the smaller leagues (Celtic, Rangers, Ajax, Benfica, Olympique Marseille) or they should play "the challengers" from England, Spain, Germany, or Italy, like Valencia, Roma, Liverpool, or Schalke; or they should consider playing the top and most recognisable Latin clubs, like Mexico's America, Corinthians or Flamengo, or Boca Juniors. 4-0 trouncings do not serve their purpose, which is to attempt to show that MLS players and teams could compete in some of the world's bigger leagues.
  2. I love the TExans signing of Jonathan Joseph. A definite downgrade from Nnamdi, but still great all in the same. Cincinnati is going to be terrible next year.
  3. Because my life doesn't revolve around posting on an internet forum. I work 40 hours a week and play Junior A lacrosse. Sorry I couldn't post within your timelines. I don't even know what you want me to say? It was yours and Fish's argument lol. If it was about me not replying to what you said, I took a page out of your book - you know, the one where you dismiss anyone elses opinion to bring up something completely meaningless to get a rise out of someone. Did I do good? Please do dig them up. I couldn't care less lol. You don't even write anything, you just spew nonsensical bullshit to troll.
  4. I would also like to continue, I mean it is a dynasty league and that's what I set out to do. I'll have to send out some new invites and I think we can get some new guys. I'll be more stingy this year with not allowing people to get in.
  5. We're a month and a half away from the season lol..
  6. And I'll be sure to bump your Patriots and 49ers thread when the 49ers lose the division to the Rams or Seahawks and Brady chokes in the playoffs again because he's damaged goods, alright?
  7. I could care less about Haynesworth to be honest, I think I have more of a problem with the pedestal Belichick gets put on consistently.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFzp3uHua40 Albert Haynesworth is completely useless not in the 4-3. He's a lazy, unmotivated player in the 3-4. Everyone is in "great shape" these days. The only reason anyone cares is because everyone suckles BB's nuts becausehe saved Randy Moss from Oakland.
  9. Give him a day, it's the first day and you shouldn't get your first pick skipped. Don't start the league like that.
  10. Cutler gets all this negativity for forcing his way out of Denver and the injury debacle last year. Josh McDaniels made it clear he was looking for his own guy at quarterback, so that working relationship is now tarnished and I don't exactly blame Cutler for wanting out. I've already made my views on his injury quite clear. But that doesn't take away from his quarterbacking abilities. He held his own for an offensive line that was completely inept for major parts of last year and a system that puts him in trouble with the quality of the line. Who wants to take 7 step drops with Omiyale protecting your blindside or whatever turnstyle was in there at that point in time?
  11. Stafford and McNabb. Stafford hasn't proven shit and he's being anointed as some top-ten quarterback. He can't stay healthy and that's the bottom line. He's done absolutely nothing to prove that he's a better quarterback then Cutler. Can you safely say he has? Cutler is a better quarterback right now for those two reasons. McNabb is washed up. Cutler had a better completion %, more TD's, more YPA and a better QB rating then McNabb. The only thing McNabb really has on him are passing yards and he's thrown one less TD. Let's not forget who got benched for Rex Grossman last year.
  12. Cutler is still the second best quarterback in the division.
  13. I figured. You'd think they'd keep Friday as the opening and that's that. Stupid to be able to talk to free agents before that unless they're your own team.
  14. I'm confused. I thought free agency didn't start till Friday? I'm a bit out of the loop on all this, why did Leinart sign with Seattle before Friday?

  16. You're probably right, plus we have a pretty solid group right now as well, all active and pretty tight knot within the forum. Plus we have different leagues also available. I presume a shit storm should be coming from the Jungle Fever guy.
  17. I joined as Lenny and the Jets. That guy may not be active right now but I think he could be. I think we should let him in and try to find one more guy, it filled up quickly as it is.
  18. - One more person needs to join so I can join. Got filled up quick but I wanted a spot. - We can do online, it's faster, and it's easy. It takes 10-15 minutes to correctly set up a quality draft board on Yahoo that will select what you would have chosen BPA. If this is going to be a highly competitive league, then people WILL take the time to do that. - Make sure people set up their teams every week. It was a big problem last year in both leagues. - I'm interested in an auction draft. I'm cutting back on the amount of fantasy leagues I'm in so I think I'll do this one, an Auction and my dynasty.
  19. Ah, why do you guys use Yahoo. I hate it so much. I'm in, i'll sign up a bit later as I have to head out quickly just wanted to get my name in.
  20. To be honest, I couldn't care less about having penalty kicks in soccer, but it is what it is and there isn't really any suitable alternative. So the issue gets a big meh from me.
  21. ECN, what do you propose besides penalty kicks? It's the equivalent of a 3 OT hockey game, and knowing soccer, it's much more difficult to score in soccer then hockey. Penalty kicks are exciting and absolutely relevant to decide a game.
  22. Would it be acceptable to play for 8 hours in a row because no one can score?
