There's something going on with your computer or the browser. I have no problems, and I've asked four other people I know (from TLN), and they are fine viewing them as well. Mine has been fine, loads those GIF avatars quickly. Same with Jessica's laptop. My brother's computer doesn't have the problem, either, and it looks like everyone else on the site doesn't have it.
