La Bomba
I got a brand new computer yesterday, so I obviously don't want to mess it up. I used Limewire for around 4 years and I realized how much it [expletive]ed up my computer. What website or program do you guys use to download music and have you had any problems? If this topic isn't allowed than a PM would be appreciated.
Smitty
iTunes. You're still paying a lil bit for the songs but it's safe.
La Bomba
Yeah, but paying .99 cents for a song sucks. I don't mind paying for it as long as it's virus free, but .99 cents is a lot for just one song.
Smitty
Well, you said safest. The "free" way is never 100% safe.

trutrojan8
You can either buy a song for $.99 and make sure your new computer doesn't crashOr, steal the song, get a virus, and pay for a brand new computer [which would probably be more than any 1000 songs you could buy on iTunes.] Edited March 14, 2010 by trutrojan8

SRV
Well firefox has an application that lets you convert youtube videos into mp3's...pretty convenient if there is a live version of a song you like, or if you could find the songs on youtube, it does take like 5 minutes to convert each song but its free.

Sun Tzu
I usually get songs form sites who update very often but if I'm finding a specific one I'd go to Limewire.
