Phightins
So, the NBA Finals and Stanley Cup Finals are in full force, the World Cup is about to begin, and the biggest sports story on a Tuesday night in June is going to be a Pittsburgh Pirates-Washington Nationals game. Who would have thought a month ago?

Cobb
Looks like the White Sox are open for business. Heard this from multiple executives: The White Sox have made it clear they are open for business, and ready to trade off parts from what has been a very disappointing team. The perception of other teams is that Paul Konerko is available right now, and as we know, Chicago GM Ken Williams is a deal-maker,someone who will move quickly -- as he did with the Contreras and Thome deals last fall. Some rival executives find these to be the most interesting White Sox, in possible trades:Thornton, who they assume is probably unobtainable; and Andruw Jones, a cheap power hitter ($500,000 base) in a year in which teams are starved for offense. Some teams like Konerko but shudder at taking on $8 m still owed for this year; Peavy considered by some flat-out untradeable.

fish7718
In a report for ESPN.com, Karl Ravech describes the National League East, “The new power division in baseball,” saying: “Considering the media markets within the division – New York, Washington and Philadelphia – combined with the energy a new ballpark and great young players will create in Florida, the National League East will be the most competitive, exciting and dynamic division in baseball for years to come.”Source I agree, lots of young talent on all the teams
Cleveland's Finest
I'm pumped. If it doesn't rain tomorrow I'm gonna go to the Indians game and see Strasburg pitch. Indians go for fifth straight W.
Phightins
Yeah. Strasburg and Santana in the same game. It'd be a good one to see.

fish7718
The top 4 teams in the AL East would win the NL East... I don't care how badly Baltimore drags down their win totals They would be in first true, but Baltimore is like 6-21 vs the Yanks Toronto and Rays, infact the Jays record vs teams with a better record than the Marlins (last place team) is 13-17 the NL East may not have outstanding win totals, but all 5 teams are above average teams, the AL East has 2 great teams, 2 solid teams, 1 absolute [expletive] team. NomarFachix
Opinion I guess meng, I just don't think any NL East team has 30 wins playing in the AL East.. and that's my personal measuring stick for the best division. How well would the teams do in the other's division.
