Cobb
Did you see the Phillies game when the ump blew the most obvious call this season Yeah, me and Phightins were discussing it in the Phillies thread. It was a bad called but definitely not the worst this season.
Phightins
Mariners fire Don Wakamatsu. I feel for him, total scapegoat. It isn't his fault that he had to manage a [expletive]ty team that was given unreasonable high expectations.

Phightins
Reds sign Yasmani Grandal. First big draft signing of the night. The deadline is midnight tonight, and there are still a bunch of high picks unsigned. Should be a fun couple of hours, especially as it pertains to Mr. Harper. NomarFachix
Derek Jeter has officially changed his walk-up music from "Empire State of Mind" by Jay-Z to "GiDP" by the 4-6-3 Mafia.

We lost Yasmani which was bound to happen, but then the Sox signed Chris Hernandez and we ended up losing 5 of our recruits this year including Christian Yelich who signed with the Marlins and AJ Cole to the Nationals. Both football and baseball programs.
Phightins
On another note, Bobby Thomson (hit the "shot heard 'round the world") died today. One of the more legendary moments in baseball history.

Phightins
Also, Cody Ross claimed by (and awarded to) the Giants. Maybe the Giants were trying to block him from somebody (Padres?). Otherwise, I don't really get this, their outfield is very crowded. Phightins
Lol, the Red Sox claimed Johnny Damon. That would be an interesting reunion. He apparently has the Red Sox on his no-trade list, though.
Teletopez
Johnny Damon has been claimed by an unidentified team. Possibly Boston, New York, San Francisco, among other clubs. Edit: It's Boston, but the no-trade clause causes problems. Just to block the Yankees and Rays, I'm guessing? Teletopez
Apparently, the no-trade clause may or may not be able to block the Tigers from handing him over to Boston. It depends on the wording of the contract.
