The Regime
Magic forward Matt Barnes doesn't think head coach Stan Van Gundy trusts him to be on the court in crunch time. Barnes is considered Orlando's best perimeter defender, but was pulled midway through the fourth quarter of the team's loss to Atlanta on Wednesday. "(Van Gundy) obviously must not trust me down the stretch. Only thing I can think of. I'm knocking down 3s, I'm playing D, I'm rebounding. I couldn't believe it," Barnes said. "I could see it if the person I'm coming out for is cooking or something… but that wasn't really the case tonight. "It's very frustrating to sit on the bench the last five minutes when I held Joe [Johnson] to 13 points. It's very frustrating." When asked about the decision to pull Barnes, Van Gundy said he needed "to get more shooting on the floor." http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/65590/20100326/barnes_van_gundy_doesnt_trust_me_late_in_games/
