Lkr
I'm weighing too much right now. Lets start with my daily intake of food:2 bowls of capn crunch early every morningham sandwhich snack before noonsome sort of fastfood combo of chicken nuggets/$1 double cheeseburger at 2dinner around 5-7dessert I plan on cutting dessert and that fastfood meal. I have a feeling that is what is really driving my weight up. Fluids wise, I consume about a half gallon of 1% milk daily. I drink at least a standard bottle of water daily. I usually consume about 4-5 of those small Sprite bottles on a weekly basis(sometimes a few small Sprites from a fast food chain as well). i exercise at least 1 hour every day and I walk a lot. I think I might throw in a nightly jog or something into the mix as well. My main goals are to drop the fast food, dessert, and soda. I think I'll convert completely to water for a while and only drink milk with my cereal every morning. I might also give soy milk a chance. I need some input and help from you guys to remind me every day to keep to this!
bigdog17k
Just cut fast food if you can, and drink more water. Just also do more physical activity, whatever it is. Like when you're bored get out and doing something.
CaliCurbStomppa
Yea big dog is right. Try to be active and drink a lot of water and cut the junk food.
TheNextBestThing
Do NOT take up soy milk. It would be more pleasant and more effective to carve out excess blubber with a chainsaw. You could join some kind of sports league. If you can't find one, simply running is good (though less fun). It makes running more enjoyable if you actually keep up with the numbers (distance, speed, mile time etc.).

Jammin
Don't eat fast food, don't drink pop, don't skip meals. If you eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day, and limit your calories to about 2000-2500 a day you'll be fine.
reno
Well if you really want to lose weight, i d o this every now and then and lose about 10+ pounds in a week. for starters, eat oatmeal for breakfast and drink a glass of orange juice. Use just a little of fat free or 2% milk with it. Second, stop drinking milk, idc what others have to say about milk, the truth is humans were not ment to drink cow milk and its really bad for your body. Second, don't munch on junk food, just substitute it with water. If you have an urge, fight it and just say [expletive] you stomach. Train yourself to eat less, we as Americans on average eat wayy out of proportion, remember, we are supposed to eat to live, not live to eat. Eat one banana a day, preferably midday when you are feeling hungry. Second, eat 1 whole orange at around 8pm, or as a late night snack. For dinner, just eat something your parents make, should be healthy enough at least as long as you follow my guidelines. Notice I don't mention anything about lunch, because truth is eating 3 large meals a day is bad for you. Breakfast is the most important, but any meal after that just eat as a light snack, for example maybe have a few strawberry's throughout the day. But since your going to be eating a somewhat medium size dinner, I wouldn't worry about it. To sum it up, 1. Eat plain oatmeal with a little milk added for breakfast, and drink a glass of orange juice.2. Dont munch on snacks, replace it with water3. Eat one banana midday, and one orange at around 8pm3. Eat a somewhat healthy dinner, no fastfood at all, just eat what your mom cooks. If your mom does not cook, buy something at the store, maybe whole weat bread with chicken breast, or organic peanut butter and organic jam. If you cant buy that, then just man up and eat oatmeal again for dinner.4. Exercise is also good, depending on your metabolism. But even if you dotn exercise, you should be able to shed the weight with this diet for a week or two. Also, don't drink soy milk, soy overtime is really bad for your body. No need to drink pop either, just use water, who cares about flavor.

If you weighed 300 pounds and were very active, and didn't eat anything throughout the week, you wouldn't lose ten pounds, and to say to do it every now and again. . Anyways, it's kind of funny that you made this topic because I decided to go on a diet on January 26th. I'm a sophomore in colllege, and before my Freshman year I probably weighed about 170 pounds, and was in excellent shape, and then college came around and I weighed about 200 pounds(didn't really look fat at all), and had a good amount of fat on my stomach. I used to eat fast food at least 2-3 times a week since college, and when I went to Wendy's or Burger King, I would usually get: Two double cheeseburgersTwo, five piece chicken nuggetsLarge french fry That was just what I had at night for a "meal", and that doesn't include all of the pizza that I eat and straight garbage food. I would also be go to a pizza place in my town where they have "Two large cheese pizza specials", and eat both pizza's in one night. So, to say the least, I wasn't eating healthy at all. . I probably ate worse than anyone you knew. However, since my "diet", I've actually been eating pasta(I know people will say it's not good for a diet), wheat bread, and only drinking water. I pretty much focus on just eating low calorie foods because that is really the best way to lose weight. I now weigh just 175 since January 25th, and I haven't been losing too much recently, but I'm trying to keep it up. Just cutting out the garbage food in your diet can cut out 500+ calories, where as exercising for an hour may only burn 300 calories. Owner Real Deal Posted March 28, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted March 28, 2010 Gotta drop that weight, but you have to stay consistent with what you do. One slip-up, and you're going to gain 10+ pounds back before you can lose another pound. Eat three medium-sized meals a day, with a snack in between breakfast/lunch, lunch/dinner, and dinner/sleep. Make sure your snack is protein. Balance carbs with protein. Not exactly by the numbers...but for a carb-loaded item in your meals (say, some sort of pasta), add a protein. Water + crunches + berries. That will lose your stomach. Berries can be strawberries, cranberries, blueberries, etc. More water. Your body needs water more than anything else, and a single bottle won't do. The more water you drink, the better your body can manage the food you eat, and the easier your activity will be on your body. Muscles lose water quickly, and when they do, they shrink. When they shrink, they hurt. When they hurt, you don't want to exercise, and you lose focus. Less caffeine. It drains the water from your muscles. See above. Exercise at least four times a week. Don't be a weekend warrior and do something for five hours on Saturday, then sit the other six days. That's actually bad for your heart. Of course, this is all what I do to stay conditioned, not to necessarily lose weight...but you can apply it to your situation as well. HipHopHead
www.liamrosen.com/fitness.html It's very simple, considering Diet is about 90% of losing weight with actual fitness being the other 10%. Just find out your daily calorie intake, cut that by 500-1000 and you will see results. ONLY drink water (no milk, that's only for when you're bulking), avoid ANYTHING prepackaged as it contains extra salt and sugars. If it's hard at first just try to ease into it as I did. I weighed 200 in May of last year at 5'10, I was unhappy and not in good shape. Now I'm 170, and happy (but not satisfied). In all reality though, weight has nothing to do with fat. If you really want to set a goal for yourself find out your BF%, and get it down to 10%-15%. Also do not only run, you want to lift weights to fill in the lost area of your fat (you don't want lose skin or stretch marks, not fun). Eastcoastniner, trust me, you can lose 10 pounds in little days, ive lost 17 pounds in 3 days before, ate almost nothing in those 3 days, but I also have a super-quick metabolism. You're lieing. Too much cheese/dairy imo, lunchables are also high in sodium and white sugar/starch/carbs? I think, though haven't checked in ages. DONT drink teh milk lol, but one glass is better than half a gallon i guess. With your homemade burger tonight, maybe have it without the cheese? Should also have some veggies with your burger instead of fries, maybe some steamed broccoli/peas/carrots. Wheat bun would also be a big+ instead of white buns. You're much better off just doing something on a site like mydailyplate.com Again, avoid almost all dairy products. And don't eat cheeseburgers unless you get it from a grass-fed cattle farm. HipHopHead
apparently I burned more calories than I consumed today...so thats good That's basically the goal, it's pretty simple intake/outtake. If you wanna add things to your diet, cereal (any kind tbh even Cocoa Pebbles), tuna fish, healthy choice soup (which is delicious), and rice are very good. No matter what soup it is it's going to have extra salt added, which is not good. Rice is also a no-no, it's basically empty calories. Cereal is the same thing, with extra sugars added of course. As I stated, stay away from almost everything pre-package. Edited March 28, 2010 by HipHopHead
