Owner Real Deal Posted March 29, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted March 29, 2010 Cheese isn't as bad as what people are making it out to be. It's protein. Cheese doesn't make you fat, it's nourishing to your muscles. Milk, not so bad if it's skim. People don't like skim milk, though...seems like it's too watered-down. Try 2% if you're going to drink it. You still need the Vitamin D, though. I drink three glasses of 2% milk a day.
Warren2ThaG
what about fish oil pills and green tea
Sportsguy9695
Try to eat less fastfood. I tried to cut out fastfood in my diet and you feel it much better. I walk 4 miles everyday on a treadmill. Sometime I do it twice a day. So workingout really helps
Guest Need4Sheed
Take vitamins too. I think they are really overlooked in diets.

I only have milk in my protein shakes after I work out, and even then I only drink it if I have no Mioplex on me. Vitamin D can be found in pill form too. Green tea is good, just again make sure there is no extra sugar. Fish Oil aka Omega 3, 6, and 9 is a good form of fat.

They don't have an effect on the body when you're taking them, necessarily, but they will hurt you down the road. I have one of the best nutritionists in the state (needing one because I'm diabetic). I have been drinking milk every single day, up to three times a day, and I have been under 10% body fat most of my life. The best way to get any type of vitamin or nutrient in your body is through food. People that take potassium pills can ruin their heart, but eating bananas and spinach every day doesn't do any harm, at all. That's why lethal injections are potassium. Is milk really a fat-burning food?Maybe. In a 6-month study, University of Tennessee researchers found that overweight people who downed three servings a day of calcium-rich dairy lost more belly fat than those who followed a similar diet minus two or more of the dairy servings. In addition, the researchers discovered that calcium supplements didn't work as well as milk. Why? They believe that while calcium may increase the rate at which your body burns fat, other active compounds in dairy (such as milk proteins) provide an additional fat-burning effect. Of course, the key to success is following a weight-loss diet to begin with. After all, downing your dairy with a box of doughnuts is no way to torch your gut.Does it build muscle?Absolutely. In fact, milk is one of the best muscle foods on the planet. You see, the protein in milk is about 80 percent whey and 20 percent casein. Both are high-quality proteins, but whey is known as a "fast protein" because it's quickly broken down into amino acids and absorbed into the bloodstream. That makes it a very good protein to consume after your workout. Casein, on the other hand, is digested more slowly. So it's ideal for providing your body with a steady supply of smaller amounts of protein for a longer period of time — like between meals or while you sleep. Since milk provides both, one big glass gives your body an ideal combination of muscle-building proteins.Milk is good for you, and so is cheese. bigdog17k
Yeah I'm not sure why some people here said Milk is terrible and not meant for humans. It's a great source of calcium, protein, and vitamins. The only downside I see is it's fairly high in saturated fat and cholesterol.

It's a great source of calcium, protein, and vitamins. The only downside I see is it's fairly high in saturated fat and cholesterol. The dairy industry is one of the largest lobbyist in America Milk when pasteurized, kills off a lot of the positive nutrients/bacteriaBetter ways to get calcium, your body only absorbs about 32% of the calcium in milk, broccoli and some other green vegetables will intake 50%+Cows Milk has been found to deplete calcium in bones, which can lead to osteoporosis If you are not drinking organic milk, you will be drinking a lot of unwanted pesticide/hormones. But again, even if you drink organic milk, bovine hormones is still present. Dairy products create mucus buildup in your body which leads to a lot of respiratory/allergies problems.Milk creates higher levels of galactose, men who drink milk are twice as likely to get prostate cancer than those who don't.1 in every 3 people are lactose intolerance, by adulthood, all humans produce very little lactase, since there is no need to be drinking milk beyond infancy. Owner Real Deal Posted March 31, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted March 31, 2010 But for someone trying to lose weight, and NOT maintain a consistent body weight or fat it's not good. You should never take pills? Not sure what kind of pill you're talking about, I take Fish Oil and Vitamin B daily with no negative effects. It's been proven that milk can help you lose weight. There are people who just don't know how to use it. You drink it immediately after working out. My aunt drinks more milk than I do, and she weighs 110 pounds and is almost too skinny, lost about 40-50 pounds and never put it back on. Fish oil can be damaging if you already get enough of it through your food. It's a blood thinner. If I took fish oil supplements, my eyes would start to bleed again (had surgeries to burn out extra blood vessels, which caused me to be blind once they started bleeding). People that have naturally lower blood pressure can get dangerously low, and over time, fish oil can bring those down to levels you'll eventually need to go to the doctor for. Same with too much Vitamin B. It can cause nerve damage over a long period of time (which you won't notice until it's too late), and it also elevates liver enzymes. Too much of a good thing isn't always a good thing. For people that get those nutrients in food AND in pill form, they could be making a mistake they won't notice for a decade or two, and because you're young, that's why you have yet to notice it. But maybe you'll be fine, not trying to get you to stop. I've been ear-[expletive] by my nutritionists since I was 10 years old, so 16 years of four different people telling me the same thing...I think I have to believe what I hear. HipHopHead
yah if you really tried it, it would be possible to get too much fish oil and too many b vitamins. unless you deliberately go for it, i wouldnt worry though. like i said, if you're heavy set drinking lot of milk is bad. that's why there are plans for BULKING which includes drinking half to a full gallon of milk a day. On another note, remember to lift as well as do cardio. If you do all running and other forms of cardio training it will deplete fat as well as muscle, definitely not the look anyone wants Besides, if you have more muscle, the more fat you'll burn.
