Carlos Arroyo (who is apparently a close friend) said that Raja wants to play for Miami, and considering the fact that he's a defensive-minded player that can also shoot threes, he'd be a perfect fit. Ray Allen has never expressed any interested (from what I know), and pretty much wants to be a Celtic next year. Flash
Not one person thinks Amare is staying? I definitely think he's going to be a Sun next year. I don't think he wants to be there considering they've seriously tried to shop him twice now. Plus, if Phoenix gets beat in the first round which is possible although they're playing great right now, he may not want to stay.
Flash
Can I ask why everyone thinks Wade is automatically gone? Is it because RD thinks so? Is it to get back at the Heat fans for being confident that we'll get him and someone else? I just don't see what's so appealing about a team that Miami is already better than and that Miami can add another max contract to give him a legit contender. Sure his kids are there but they come to Miami at times and his ex-wife who fricken sued him is in Chicago. Why would he want that headache? Not to mention he's stated that he wants to stay in Miami as long as we make improvements which we certainly will this offseason.
Dash
Its a bit too early for predictions imo. I don't think he wants to be there considering they've seriously tried to shop him twice now. Plus, if Phoenix gets beat in the first round which is possible although they're playing great right now, he may not want to stay. That may be true but doesn't he also want to be 'the man'? I'm not sure if he still does but I do remember reading that about him a while back. In Phoenix he gets to play in that run-n-gun offense and with Steve Nash. I can definitely see him staying especially if Phoenix does some damage in the post season.

Not sure about Amare but both Stein and Wojnorowski from Yahoo say Miami is his first choice if he leaves PHX so I'm assuming he'd be okay playing with Wade and being the number 2 guy. Not to mention he's stated that he wants to stay in Miami as long as we make improvements which we certainly will this offseason.A lot of people are saying its because it's his hometown, but like you said, that might not necessarily give him a reason to actually want to play there. Some people say it's because the team looks better on paper, you know, playing with Rose, Deng, Noah, and Hinrich. I don't think people realize, but the Heat have Beasley, two first rounders, and Pat Riley has the cap space to build a championship caliber line up, especially with this jaw-dropping list of free agents. This is the line up that I believe Pat Riley could be envisioning: Steve Blake - Dwyane Wade - Tracy McGrady - Michael Beasley - Amar'e Stoudemire. I think Blake will come to Miami for several reasons. 1) His situation with the Clippers will make him decide to explore FA. 2) He went to high school with Haslem, therefore he'll have a good interest in joining the Heat. 3) His skillset fits perfectly for this line up. He's a defensive-minded vet (the type of player Riley LOVES), he's non-ball-dominant and accustomed to playing with a star combo-guard, has a high assist/turnover ratio, and he can shoot threes. Amar'e will come to Miami because he's already expressed that he wants to be here. When he makes himself available in FA, Riles will take him in a heartbeat no questions asked. T-Mac will come because the Heat staff has been quietly keeping tabs on him. I'm not completely certain about him, but if Miami feels they can get him back in shape and care about defense, they'll take him as well. There's also a chance he could take a sixth man role like Antoine Walker did, and the Heat may start a defensive-minded player at the wing. Maybe they'll sign Raja Bell, resign Dorell Wright, or some other free agent to give the Heat more defense in the starting group, but either way, T-Mac would still have a large role. Now, compare that line up to: Derrick Rose - Dwyane Wade - Luol Deng - Taj Gibson - Joakim Noah. Two immediate differences here. 1) Lack of 3 point shooting to compliment Rose, Wade, and even Deng's slashing ability. 2) Lack of overall talent compared to what the Heat can grab in free agency. Rose will be Wade's only other all star talent, whereas in the Heat they could possibly get Amar'e, Beasley as a future all star, and T-Mac as a former all star. The Heat can get all the other defensive role players through their remaining cap space. So really, I'd like to know why so many people think Wade is just going to bolt to Chicago the moment he's a free agent. The only time he'll decide to go to Chicago is IF Riley isn't able to bring any of these free agents. Only then would he have any reason to leave. Again, he wants to stay. I agree, and that's why I have Joe Johnson going to the Bulls. The Bulls need a guy who can spread the floor, and with Derrick Rose effectively penetrating to the hole that will open up a bunch of oppertunities for Joe Johnson. I think alot of people just like the backcourt combination of Wade and Rose without giving much consideration to how ineffective/effective that offense will be. Also Wade demands the ball in his hands way to much, and that will really take away from Derrick Roses game.

I can see Wade and Rose actually being a pair, only if the Bulls find a way to reshape the rest of the team. The overall lack of 3 point shooting, and no real post threat either, can make the offense limited for Wade and Rose. Really, the Bulls might not be real contenders for a couple years if Wade goes over there as they are, whereas in Miami they are likely to be contenders right away, and potentially build a dynasty (at least according to Pat Riley). Joe Johnson may be a good compliment. Actually, his all around game to be able to shoot from the outside, slash, and post up can really make him fit anywhere. I had him go to New York because he's said before that he loves D'Antoni's system. The coach there might be a good attraction for a lot of other free agents too, so I can see players like Rudy Gay who'd thrive in a fast-paced offense trying to sign there as well (but I had him stay since the Grizzlies GM said he'd match any contract thrown at him). Instead of JJ, I had Boozer going over to Chicago. He gives this team more offense in the frontcourt, and he could prove to be a solid piece to put around Rose. If the Knicks don't have any interest in resigning Lee (which is possible since they only gave in a 1 year deal last offseason IIRC), the Bulls could make a move for him instead if Boozer is out of reach.

Not sure the Cavs would be able to add a max even with LeBron leaving which I only think happens if they miss the finals again. Stop being so defensive lol. Busload? I had Wade and Amare and then the possibility of T-Mac and a reach in Allen. Those are 3 legit options, its not being cocky its being realistic.
