MIAMI -- Dwyane Wade has asked a court to grant him sole custody of his two young sons, adding to an already venomous and drawn-out divorce proceeding between the Miami Heat guard and his estranged wife.

In addition, Wade has asked that his wife be ordered to undergo a psychological examination.

Documents obtained Wednesday by The Associated Press show Wade alleges his wife Siohvaughn cannot "be considered a fit and proper person" to raise their children. In more than 300 pages of filings, the All-Star says his wife exhibited threatening behavior, had extramarital affairs, uses abusive parenting methods and is unwilling to let the 2006 NBA Finals MVP see his children.

The major tension between him and his wife makes me even more certain about not wanting to play over in Chicago. On the flip side, it also makes me a bit worried about whether this affects his performance in the playoffs, though. This is something more important than basketball for him, it's going to weigh heavily on his mind. It's already going make him miss the summer national games, most likely.

Whether he wife is truly crazy or not, I'm not sure. This is just in Wade's perspective, we have not heard the other side, nor do we have any proof that she is really mentally unstable at all.

The reason I say this is because my own parents got divorced, and my dad said the exact same things about my mom. I can assure you my mom is perfectly normal. Overemotional at times, but nowhere near unfit to have raised me.

Could he really get sole custody with being on the road for a good portion of the year?

Nanny's. Even with his schedule he seems more fit to have custody of these kids.
