The Regime
In an interview on NBA TV, LeBron James indicated that he "won't stop" until he reaches his goal of winning a title in Cleveland. "I got a goal, and it's a huge goal, and that's to bring an NBA championship here to Cleveland," James said. "And I won't stop until I get it." Taken literally, James' statement is newsworthy because it would mean that the Cavs' superstar, who can become a free-agent this summer, would stay in Cleveland at least as long as it takes to bring the city an NBA championship. James also spoke glowingly about the professionalism and depth of the Cavs' roster. The Cavs have the best record in the league, five games ahead of the Lakers. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/65712/20100401/lebron_i_wont_stop_until_i_bring_title_to_cleveland/ Well looks like LeBron is going to resign with the Cavs.

Cleveland's Finest
I really hate this free agency crap. Why can't it be focus on this year and win the title. Who cares if he comes back or not. Win the god damn title this year. If you win the title this year than you've accomplished the goal and can move on to further your career. JWaLL
He isn't going anywhere lol... Anyone could have figured that out way before this quote was publicized.
Jenneral
To be honest, I think he stays in Cleveland regardless. Do I want him to? I don't know. Without him the Cavs would be one of the worst teams in the league but it would definitely feel odd seeing him in any other jersey. I think stars like him should try to stick it out with one team for their entire career.
TheHutch
All of Cleveland?Of course he and all of Cleveland care, but why focus on that right now? When the off-season starts, that's when we can focus on that. Right now our focus should be on the playoffs and winning the NBA Championship, not free agency. Flash
He also said that he won't be playing in the world championships because, "He's got a lot of decisions to make this summer." Like Melo said, he doesn't know what he's going to do yet. It'll be based on how far Cleveland goes in the playoffs. No finals = no Bron IMO. Owner Real Deal Posted April 2, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted April 2, 2010 I would think the free agency period would be good for Cleveland. It can be used as an incentive. Win it all, or risk losing James. Is there even the slightest thought that maybe Ferry brought Jamison in because he was worried about losing LeBron, if they don't bring home the rings? If that was so, then why wouldn't he have gotten Amare? I know the expiring contract, but if LeBron left we could offer Amare a nice contract. If LeBron leaves, Z leaves, Shaq retires. I honestly don't think he's leaving. We renewed our season tickets and so have many others, so people really aren't worried. Everything that would happen if he left...I just can't see it. Visiting Cleveland in a Knicks uniform and the fans booing him? No, just can't. And as I said, I thought LeBron said no more free agency talk, and now he is circumnavigating around that by saying he'll never leave until he wins it all in Cleveland. Focus on this year. Focus on this year.Cleveland didn't get Amare because Phoenix never really had any intention of trading him in the first place. Plus, if he was being dealt, he was going to be traded to Miami, because that was his first option destination as a free agent, and Kerr and Amare had an understanding that he put a lot into his time at Phoenix, and he deserved to dictate the trade. The rumors that teams were talking to Kerr and the Suns were true, but Phoenix was just sticking him out there to get a projected estimate on his value for this summer. Cleveland's Finest
I think he'll sign a contract with us so that by the time that contract is up, he'll be able to play in New York the way he wants to, and that's when the Nets are in Brooklyn. Flash
The one thing I don't get it. If he was set on staying, wouldn't he have done it already? Jalen Rose made a good point when he said LeBron's never really been recruited before because everyone knew he was going to the NBA in HS. Either way, I don't think its set in stone that he stays. kingfish
If his teammates really screw up this postseason he will leave for sure. Last year Mo dissapeared, and nobody shot well and even their bigs were destroyed inside by Orlando. If they dont play better this year hes gone, Now, do they have to win a title for him to stay? I dont think so. But if the Cavs lose in any round of the east playoffs, or if they make the finals and are swept or lose in 5 games I think he will realize he doesnt have enough in Cleveland to win and look to start new somewhere else.
