Carsen Palmer and the Bengals are using their playoff loss as motivation for the 2010 season.

For the Cincinnati Bengals, it could be challenging to keep the same chip on their shoulders after sweeping through the AFC North, posting double-digit wins, and making the playoffs last season for the first time in four years.

But the Bengals are relying on their awful feeling after January's 24-14, playoff loss to the New York Jets to keep their edge this offseason.

"Just think back to the last game of the season. It's not that hard," Cincinnati quarterback Carson Palmer said of the team's motivation. "I think a lot of people on this team have a chip on their shoulder about the way the year went, with the way things finished off. That's one thing that's kind of hanging over our heads that can push us when we're working out with each other and trying to get better."

With the Steelers and their problems I really see the Bengals making consecutive playoff appearances for the first time in a while. The AFC North should be an easy division this year and will probably have only one postseason team. Either Cincy or the Ravens will be a wild card. Aside from the QB position, the Jets are way ahead of the Bengals in terms of having a sound, balanced team. Sanchez will only get better. Keep crying Cincy...but the city of NY is made for football.

what? i see no reason why the Bengals and the Ravens can't make the playoffs... the Bengals were very good last season, and the Ravens had a very solid team last year (as the world saw by how they killed New England) , and now with the addition of Anquan Boldin, and now Ray Rice has another year of experience under his belt.
