I think because they will be in a dome. They always schedule an off-day right after opening day just in case it gets rained out, so everyone else opens up on Monday, has a day off Tuesday, and has their 2nd game on Wednesday. It's a money thing, basically. People pay a ton of money for Opening Day so they need to make sure that they get to see it. If they didn't have it set up like that, and they played the day right after Opening Day, technically that 2nd game would become the 1st game in the case of a rain out and everybody with Opening Day tickets gets screwed. How about all the ESPN analyst pick Kansas and Kentucky. Analyst are nothing more than overpaid statboys. You know who you can compare him to? Delmon Young, who had BETTER numbers in the minors and came out with just as much hype. I am not knocking Heyward he will probably be an excellent player but Griffey is one of the top 5 talents to ever play baseball, so yes those comparisons are ridiculous and silly.
