Cobb
Is anyone going to even watch this game?
The Regime
I'll probably tune in to see how many points UConn is up by. Imo this game wont even be close, after it's all said and done Baylor will be the only team that gave them any sort of threat.
Cleveland's Finest
Uconn down 9.
Owner Real Deal Posted April 7, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted April 7, 2010 Stanford had just one loss this entire season, and it was against UConn. Looks like they've been watching tapes and studying a bit more, because the UConn ladies are having trouble. HUGE upset if Stanford pulls it off. Owner Real Deal Posted April 7, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted April 7, 2010 This has to be the worst game I've ever seen from two teams. It was 20-12 at the half, and after four minutes in the second half, it's 20-15.
Lkr
Uconn totally owned in the second half.
Owner Real Deal Posted April 7, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted April 7, 2010 Yeah, I was actually shocked to see Stanford's defense just die out in that half. Maya Moore was unstoppable. 53-47 UConn, second consecutive title, 78 consecutive wins without a loss. Out of those 78 straight wins, this is the first game to end by less than a 10-point margin (UConn won 77 of them by double-digits). This game was the lowest point total of the streak, and lowest field goal percentage, but the most satisfying victory of them all. Owner Real Deal Posted April 7, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted April 7, 2010 FYI - the record for most consecutive wins goes to the UCLA men, with 88, back in 1971 (IIRC). They had 16 games in that streak where they won by nine or less. Notre Dame ended the streak. Ten games into next season, the UConn women could tie it up, but they'll have to do it without Tina Charles and Kalana Greene.
