Cobb
Blue Jays general manager J.P. Ricciardi says they're open for offers for him. You guys think he'll actually be moved? If so, where? The one team that he could possible be moved to could be the Phillies since they have been looking for a starting pitcher since the season started. BlueDevil
Id hate to see him leave, but it might be for the good of the team.

Phightins
I have a feeling he won't go anywhere, but it's probably not too hard to figure out where I want him to go... Edited July 8, 2009 by Phightins09

Cobb
I would love to see the Braves get him, although we need hitting more then we do pitching right now.
fish7718
The offer I heard that the Jays were considering is so low I was shocked I heard Kyle DrabekJason DonaldJ.A. Happ I mean happ is like 28 29 Donald is 25 and hitting .220 in AAA Drabek is the only one with great potential. I can see so many teams topping this offer. We will see if they considered that I guess they are serious about moving him.
Phightins
Where did you see the Jays were "considering" that? And if you think that is anywhere close to the most the Phillies could offer you'd be mistaken. Edited July 9, 2009 by Phightins09
EastCoastNiner
It'd be very interesting if the San Francisco Giants traded for him. If they had a 1,2,3 punch of Tim Lincincum, Roy Halladay, and Matt Cain, they would be so damn tough to beat in a playoff series. I wouldn't mind a 1,2,3 punch of Josh Beckett, Jon Lester, and Roy Halladay though.........

fly3rs18
yeah, absolutely no way they trade him to someone in the AL east. that would be absolutely stupid. that takes the red sox and yankees out of it but the giants would just be flat out scary if they got him. all they would need is to be able to score a couple runs each game and they would be unbeatable in the playoffs. Cobb
I wish the Braves would try to go after him. We don't REALLY need him but he'd be a huge upgrade over any pitcher we have right now.

EastCoastNiner
The Boston Red Sox are starting Clay Bucholtz tomorrow night, and he has been havving a great year in the "Minor Leagues". The Boston Red Sox may be having him start to let the Toronto Blue Jays get a good look at him in the MLB this year, and possibly start to start discussing trade possibilities for Roy Halladay. When Halladay is a free agent in two seasons he will be free to sign wherever he wants, and there is a pretty decent chance that he will wind up back in the AL East. Ricciardi would be smart to just take the best available players. He has also come out and said that this is his plan.

He's the type of player that can turn a team into a real contender.
EastCoastNiner
There aren't too many teams that can make an offer that the Toronto Blue Jays would like, and it's looking more and more like the Philadelphia Phillies will not be getting him becuase they do not have the MLB ready youngsters that would be needed in a deal. I think we have a lot of guys Toronto really likes, but Amaro has flat out said that some guys are untouchable. They'd have to make anybody and everybody available in order to pull off a trade. It's not that we wouldn't give them, we just don't have them to begin with lol. We have a lot of very good prospects but they are all a year or two off. EastCoastNiner
I don't think that the Boston Red Sox are going to get Roy Halladay, although they can probably offer the best package. The Boston Red Sox are stacked with pitching, and I mean stacked. The Toronto Blue Jays want something like Clay Bucholtz+Daniel Bard+2 Prospects for Roy Halladay, and I say [expletive] that. I'd honestly rather trade Jonathan Papelbon than Daniel Bard.
Cobb
I heard that top officials from four teams were at the game yesterday watching him pitch against the Redsox. Should be interesting to see if he does indeed get traded.
