fish7718
Kanye West is finishing up his long-awaited follow-up to 808s and Heartbreaks, reports Billboard.com. The album, which has been referred to titled Good [expletive] Job, will reportedly feature production from artists such as Q-Tip, RZA and Pete Rock. "I just try to work with people who I admire or whom I think has got it," said Tip in an interview with Brooklyn Bodega. "So right now I'm working on Nas' [expletive], about to work with Kanye on his [expletive]." According to Roc4Life.com, RZA and Pete Rock were in Hawaii recording with Kanye, though Pete Rock refuted the claim via his Twitter page, and said the trip was "just a vacation." Pete Rock did, however, allude to a secret project he was working on, which would fall in line with previous West collaborators. Good [expletive] Job is set to hit stores in June, according to G.O.O.D. Music artist Big Sean.Source I can't wait , so excited. crabbylion
Meh, this dude has fell the [expletive] off. Who fell off, Kanye? Nah, I wouldn't say so. That 808's and Heartbreak (I hope) was an experiment. I cringe at the sound of that album. RZA, Pete Rock, Q-Tip...nuff said.
fish7718
I don't think he feel off either. 808's was obviously just more of an expressive album in that format. However he has been featured on like 5-10 top 20 singles in the past 2 years.

alcstarheel
I hope to have it on day one. I'm a big Kanye fan. I actually liked 808s. You can broaden your horizons once in a while.
Legacy
Loved all of his albums, even 808s. It was sick. Can't wait for this to come out.
Flash
All his albums have been quality. Definitely hasn't fallen off. I hope this is a mix of styles with his first 3 and then 808's.

Jammin
YES! Reading what artists that were helping on the album have to say, the consensus is that it's going to be the best hip-hop album ever (stretch), and that it'll change how you listen to hip-hop. I'm a huge Kanye fan (even paid $200 for a ticket to him/Gaga before it got cancelled), went to GIDT, and have all his albums. I cannot wait for this to come out, it won't leave my car stereo for a lonnnggg time. It will probably beat out the previous record of 'Seeing Sounds' haha. fish7718
I'm a little surprised there are as many people as excited as I am for this album. I thought after the whole Swift thing and the fact that he hasn't put down an album in 2 years people we starting to forget about him. I'm glad he's still as respected as he ever was. As for it being the greatest hip hop record of all time... . However I'm sure it will be excellent. I've been googling like Kanye West album and hitting news like every day for the past year to see when he was going to start recording. Finally he started in January and he's already done. Just like all you guys can't wait. I hope he releases a single off the album sometime soon just to tease us.
JYD
Meh, this dude has fell the [expletive] off.I agree his stuff prior to 808's was far better, but he has had some nice verses like on Run This Town his verse was better than Jay's. fish7718
UPDATE Previously, we reported that Kanye West’s upcoming album “Good [expletive] Job” would drop in June. There are new reports that says Ye’s new project might not drop until September. According to sources, the rappers album may be slated for a fall release date. An attendee at the Island Def Jam Grammy U. event on Wednesday (May 12) confirmed the sudden change of the release date. As of now, there is no specific date on the September release but this story does seem accurate, because Kanye still hasn’t dropped a single for the project yet. Source -_- Hopefully we will at least get a single in June

I had heard rumors that Big Sean ghost-wrote that verse for Ye but I doubt its true. Even if it does drop in September, I'm real excited just to hear he's dropping something in the future. Jammin
Apparently Kanye's first single from the album is dropping June 1st. There's definitely a performance by Ye on the 27th at the BET Awards, and he'll be performing a new song there too. BTW, all the producers on this album also produced something on Illmatic. JYD
The album certainly looks promising. Honestly, I'd be surprised if it even came out in the Fall. Albums take sooo long to come out. Look at Lupe for example, or Drake (wasn't it originally, a while back, supposed to come out in Feb '10?)

fish7718
Another person in the industry has cosigned Kanye’s work on the “Good A$s Job” album. DJ Semtex gave his thoughts on West’s upcoming new single and called it “shocking”. “Okay, so I’ve heard the first Kanye West joint. I was sworn to secrecy. All I can say is it is banging. If that’s a taste of what’s coming on the album, he has smacked it. Lyrically….he is saying things like, ‘Wow, he said that?’ It is going to shock everybody, the first record.” According to sources, the rapper’s album is slated for a September release date. An attendee at the Island Def Jam Grammy U. event on Wednesday (May 12) confirmed the sudden change of the release date. Anticipation is killing me
