Who will be a bust

Demarcus Cousins. Don't know why, I just have a weird feeling.

Damn it's the opposite for me. I literally think Cousins has the potential to be a Dwight Howard type of potential (Not that he becomes the next Dwight Howard, but that good of a big man). I'd take him second right after John Wall and before Evan Turner.

It could really go either way. I feel like his attitude could effect his ceiling in the NBA if he doesn't act professional enough. He reminds me of Andray Blatche actually; so much talent but when things don't go his way, his entire game takes a huge toll. When he starts putting his team first and his own ambitions second, he will have a great career. But there's no telling whether or not that will happen.

I haven't been all that impressed with Derrick Favors to be honest. I know he has the physical tools and potential, but I still think there are a lot of question marks in his game.

Georgia Tech's style didn't fit him at all. He played with extremely selfish guards who even when Favors had great position he couldn't get the ball from them. He's already got an NBA body and his offensive game is actually a lot better than people think. I have no doubt he'll be a great player.

Cousins is going to be great but only if his head is there. If he maintains a degree of mental toughness, he'll be an All Star within 3 years.

I really see Cousins also being a bust.. But not like a 'Darko' bust, I just mean he won't be as good as many people think he will. I don't watch that much college ball, but I know enough. Cousins just seems lazy and sometimes doesn't seem like he cares about the play he just does what he wants.

That's the misconception with Cousins. He's extremely talented and has a bunch of different moves on offense. Like I said above, if his head is screwed on correctly, he'll be a superstar. I've never seen someone dominate the offensive glass like he did in college.

Lottery picks or what not... Hassan Whiteside, hes going to become another Patrick O'Bryant, Sene... whatever you wanna call it

Also, Xavier Henry will be another Brandon Rush at most.

Whiteside is a much better prospect than O'Bryant was and Sene should've never come out so soon. Whiteside, if drafted by the right team, will get to sit a year or 2 before getting loads of PT so that he can learn.

Miami is a perfect place for him IMO. Learn under the tutelage of Alonzo, Keith Askins and Bob McAdoo for a couple years and then go out there knowing what you're doing.

And that is an absolute most. I can see X falling on his face in the league.

Yep. I didn't know he was so limited offensively. He relies on the three a lot and is an above average passer but the rest of his game is average at best IMO. Late lottery or mid-first depending on how he does at the camps.

I know Ed Davis isn't coming to the NBA till 2011, but I just want to throw his name into the discussion just for the hell of it.

Ed Davis is going to be a good fit as a small ball center, but I don't see his upside like other people. As much as scouts say he's a great athlete he looks a little creaky to me. Plus he lays it in when he should be dunking. How can you be a top 5 pick when you're laying it in? Show me power, show me your mean streak... If he's really an elite athlete then he's holding it back on the court. Maybe he just needs that one breakout game.

Monroe has a lot of tools I like in a post player, if you need a guy to build your offense around, he's the guy. Davis will never be a player like Monroe, who you can build your offense through, but if I were a team like the Nets, I'd go after Davis to pair up with Lopez. He'll be a great defender and role player. My one problem with him is that he reminds me a little too much of Tyrus Thomas and Stromile Swift. I'm really not a fan of players with crazy athleticism but who lack a feel for the game or fundamentals. A lot of people think Monroe is passive, but due to Davis being raw, I think both of them have equal chances of disappointing. Monroe could be the next Webber or the next Drew Gooden. Davis could be an amazing blend of Haslem/Marion or he could be an amazing blend of Tyrus Thomas and Swift.

Two factors that do help X is he is left-handed and he has an NBA body. If he is going to succeed he needs to develop his dribbling as well.

Davis' length and incredible timing make him a threat to lead the league in blocks if he reaches his full potential IMO. He's got a very raw offensive game but it's shown a lot of promise as well. He'll only play center in a small ball lineup but he's a 4 all the way IMO.

Monroe is more versatile but not as good a defender IMO. His offensive game is better but Davis hasn't matured as much as Monroe but I think both have equally high ceilings.

Monroe is a boom or bust though I agree. Davis is gonna be a solid defender from day one.

I don't see anything special from Al-Farouq Aminu, Ed Davis also kind of seems like he'll be a solid 6th man but not much more (unless he puts on some major weight), while I think Greg Monroe and DeMarcus Cousins will be STUDS unlike some of you guys. Derrick Favors is a question mark with lots of potential, so idk about him.

Aminu has a complete game IMO. The only concern is that he's kinda stuck between 2 positions. Aminu can score in different ways and rebounds extremely well for someone his his size. He's a sure bet to be a great player if you ask me.

Davis is going to be a hit or miss player I agree. Although I think he's gonna be a great defensive player.

Favors is going to be a superstar IMO. He's got Dwight Howard type athleticism, is efficient around the basket, has great defensive ability and is a great rebounder.

Add Daniel Orton to that btw. I don't see it...

And Craig Brackins... idk how much of an impact he can have. He'll be like a worse version of Kevin Love, who has stamina and foul issues and can't stay of the court long.

I also have questions about Cole Aldrich.

Orton is a great defender. Extremely underrated in that area IMO.

Brackins has a great shot. He's actually someone I think will turn out to be a great pick for whoever takes him. I love his game.

Aldrich I question as well. I just don't know how much better he's going to get. He may be peaking already.
