NBA Admits Mistake On Miles Foul Of Durant

Joel Litvin, NBA President, League and Basketball Operations, issued the following statement regarding the final seconds of the Oklahoma City Thunder at Utah Jazz game last night at EnergySolutions Arena:

 

"On the final play of last night’s Oklahoma City-Utah game, the officials missed a foul committed by the Jazz’s C.J. Miles on the Thunder’s Kevin Durant during a three-point shot attempt.”

wow..how do you miss that..nba refs are so blind i swear man..3 refs couldnt see a last second play where virtually there isnt any point watchin out for any other rule except what happens between the guy takin the shot and the defender

I would like a replay for these types if situations, it could cost a team a seed aka home court.

Bad calls are part of the sport. Some teams will live and die by them. If you start replaying situations like this then it'll force every situation to be replayed. Each possession is equally important... no need to just replay the final seconds.

We only live once, we might as well make tha situations perfect.

I agree, bad calls can be devastating in the long run. If bad calls were just part of the sport then some teams get cheated out of potential seedings, and home court, which could ultimately lead to not winning a championship. You never know...

 

Replay would be controversial, because it could be abused in the same way. I just wish refs were a whole lot more honest, if you see a foul like that call it... even if it's late. And I wish they would take more accountability for this stuff too.
