Only listened to a few songs...better than Relapse for sure, but still not the greatness I expect from Em. The production really kills it IMO because lyrically it is a very sound album.

Just got done listing to it all, great album, this knocks the [expletive] out of the relapse and encore. My favorite songs SO far is going through changes, love the way you lie, no love, space bound, Talkin 2 myself, You're never older.

Wow, so he was going to diss Wayne and Kanye? Woulda been crazy.

Loving the album. I'll be bumping this for days.

Word, I love that Eminem raps about his emotions and feelings and real [expletive], there just somethin bout it that makes it pure and good i guess.

Listened to it and LOVED it. Definitely his best stuff in a while.

/Waits for HHH to come in a call it mediocre.

I'm sure everyone on here is ready for me to write off this album as another failure, but I'm not going to? Do I love the album? No. Do I hate it? No. I feel indifference for Recovery which I guess is better than feeling nothing towards it, right? Of course every song isn't good (Not Afraid, W.T.P, and the Pink track [expletive]ing suck) and no song is a classic but there are good signs of life from Em that we haven't seen since The Eminem Show.

People were quick to hate on the features, but I kept my month shut till I actually heard the first song. That happened to be Won't Back Down. I listened 10 seconds into it and exited out. But going through the album the features seems to fit (anyone else think Rihanna and Kobe did an excellent job), including the Lil Wayne verse.

Good album, not great but some songs will definitely be in my rotation and some will be deleted from my iTunes. Overall, I'd give it an 8 out of 10. Probably the 4th best hip-hop album I've listened to this year.

And how long will it be for people to finally admit Relapse was [expletive]ing trash? Em admitted it about 5 times on this album.

I've given this album a few good listens to the last few days, and I've definately warmed up to it a lot more than I did when I posted a few days ago. Love The Way You Lie, Talkin' To Myself, Going Through Changes, No Love, On Fire...all very solid.

My problem remains the same, although I'll rephrase it...the production isn't necessarily bad, but I just don't think it's the best style for Em. As I said before, lyrically he's tight on this album, and many of the beats he's rapping over are solid, but the lyrics and production just don't mesh well. And some of the guest appearences he has to spit the chorus are questionable...not to mention I can't stand when he 'sings' his own chorus.

But definately a huge improvement over Encore and Relapse.

Usual rappers? No, a lot of rappers don't - just because he raps about different subject matter doesn't make him anything special.

Actually a lot of the popular rappers and the ones that get all the fame these days rap about those stupid types of subjects...and when the subject matter is so close and personal that it relates to many it does make it special.
