Guest Need4Sheed
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Marshall will be shipped to the Dolphins for a second-round pick in the 2010 draft and "what is thought to be" a second-round selection in 2011. The deal hinges on Marshall passing a physical. (Though a formality, Marshall has had an on-and-off hip issue, the handling of which caused his relationship with the Broncos to sour.) Marshall also expected to sign "one of the most lucrative wide receiver deals" in league history. The top of the market has been $10 million for more than two years, when Larry Fitzgerald parlayed the eight-figure back end of his rookie deal into a new contract. Others, like Randy Moss and Roy Williams, earn $9 million annually. PFT Link
crabbylion
As a Bills fan, i'm pissed. With the Jets and the Phins bolstering their wideout corp, Buffalo may as well do their usual thing by drafting mad CBs. As a long time Tampa Bay resident, I can't believe the Bucs sat back(again)and let Marshall, a local kid, slip away. I mean, they have a developing QB in Josh Freeman and a pair of lame starting WR, but they allowed Marshall to go down south to Miami. Unbelievable! The AFC EAST will be the division to watch, especially if the 'Phins are seriously considering Tebow for the Wildcat offense.

fly3rs18
very good move by the dolphins. he is one of the most talent receivers in the league. if they can keep his attitude under control then he will put up top 5 WR numbers easily

The Great iBoldin
This allows them to take Sergio Kindle or Jason Pierre-Paul at 12 or trade back and grab more picks. Not only that, but it's a quality move IF Marshall can keep his [expletive] in line.

xx.
You need a QB brah.Chad Henne is a solid starting quarterback, in my opinion hes better than Orton and he didnt have a problem getting the ball to Marshall, I dont think Henne will either. Flash
You need a QB brah. Henne is a very solid QB who is only going to get better now that he's got a real WR to throw to. I would still go Dez Bryant at 12 but that's just me. Davon Bess is a slot WR and Bryant can stretch the field and be effective in the vertical game. I'm not a fan of Pierre-Paul at all. I think he's a guy who's got great measurements but will be a complete bust. Derrick Morgan can't cover for his life as a LB. I would go CJ Spiller here as well. He's my favorite RB prospect since McFadden.

They have Hartline, Bess and Camarillo who are good slot WR's and they also have Ginn but he'll probably get traded. Spiller would be a nice fit on this team, dont know if he will still be there at 12 plus we dont know if Ronnie Brown will still be there or not. Hartline and Camarillo aren't legit third options IMO. You want an explosive offense you go Dez at 12. I really hope we don't go Morgan or Pierre Paul at 12. Dan Williams at 12 would be horrific as well. Kindle I would like but Spiller or Bryant is where I'd go at 12.
fish7718
Steal for the Broncos IMO, Marshall obviously had no future in Denver and they got 2 solid picks for him.

They couldn't trade him for a first so they had to settle for a second and a conditional second rounder. Miami got the steal because they had an extra second rounder to use. Now they keep the number 12 overall pick for a guy better than anyone in this draft. Miami wins without question.

I don't know if you caught on yet but guys like Moss and Owens haven't and probably will never win a superbowl, and there's a reason for that. I like the deal for both teams right now, however I think the Broncos got the better deal. Any team willing to give an early first for that cry baby would be D-U-M-B. Dude is a top 5 receiver in the league making less then some bums in the NFL. He had a right to be pissed about his deal. He's had 3 straight 100+ catch, 1000+ yard seasons. Marshall is 26, yet to reach his real prime and is better than any player in this draft. Miami got a steal by not having to give up their first rounder for him. As for your Ownes/Moss thing, TO had a chance but his QB decided to barf all over the field. Moss was about to win one as well. The whole WR can bring down a whole team thing is greatly overstated IMO.
NomarFachix
Miami wins big, Marshall is a top 5 at the position and there is nobody in this draft, let alone the 2nd round, who will be better than Marshall for the next 5 years. Flash
^^ Exactly. And if you're using the Jets deal for Holmes as a barometer here, keep in mind that Holmes carried a 4 game suspension along with him and Pittsburgh basically had to get rid of him for whatever they could get. Celtics3420
I like it for both teams. Marshall is an All Pro Receiver and Denver got the best value by far of the stud receivers traded this off season. Holmes went for a 5th and Boldin went for a 3rd and 4th. 2nds are pretty valuable in the NFL, and the fact that they got 2 is solid.
