Monta Not Looking To Be Traded

Recommended Posts

With Stephen Curry having a successful rookie season, it is possible that the Warriors could move Monta Ellis in the offseason.

"I don't know what is going to happen this summer. I don't know," Ellis said before Tuesday's 103-94 loss to Utah. "It's really out of my control.

"I'm not looking to be moved. I'm not asking to be traded. I'm here for the next four years unless they move me."

"People keep asking if those two guys can play together, and we've seen a bunch of it," said general manager Larry Riley, who said Ellis is "pretty likely" to be back with the Warriors. "We need to see consistency instead of it happening here and there. We'd like to feel like they're going to play well together nine out of 10 times."

Curry on Tuesday said of he and Ellis, "our relationship has had steady growth. We've gotten to know each other and gotten comfortable playing with each other on the floor. We've figured out what it's going to take to be effective if we're on the court at the same time.

"He's talking to me a lot more. We've come a long way since that first day."
