Cobb
JA Happ is not pitching this series. Roy Halladay on Wednesday and Jamie Moyer on Thursday. Thanks for the heads up. Not sure why ESPN had them pitching on those days. I'll fix it ASAP.
Phightins
Happ was scheduled to go but his start is being skipped because he has a forearm strain.
Cobb
I bet you that we'll be able to count the number of times we pitch inside to Howard this series. Last year it was ridiculous how stubborn Bobby Cox was.
Phightins
Hmm, so, Troy Glaus proved that he could not touch Ryan Madson's slider. So what does Ryan Madson decide to throw 1-1? Oh, of course, a juicy fastball right down the middle of the plate. Makes perfect sense. Oh well, at least the Flyers won tonight to make this bearable. We need Brad Lidge back... Phightins
2.5 out of first Yeah, it's pretty funny that the Phillies can lose 4 out of 5 in mid April and still be 2.5 up on the Mets.
Cobb
It's good to see McLouth with that kind of emotion. He's been struggling since Spring Training. Hopefully this is the start of something. The weird thing was everyone ran down into the tunnel once they knew it was gone. I have never seen anything like that before haha. Also funny the Mets have played 6 games against playoff teams so far, Phillies, 0.

If the Mets wouldn't have lost 2 of 3 to the Washington Nationals, you might have an argument.

Phightins
Can't believe you're bragging after 3 weeks Where do you see bragging? I am just questioning why you are so happy about being 2.5 games out of first place in mid April, when the team you are chasing is coming off 4 losses in 5 games. That is terrible. That is terrible. When you start out as bad as we did and now are playing good I can be happy at whatever I want. Who cares how many games or how bad you struggled lately it's completely irrelevant to how many games we are out of first place. Hell I should be happier that your struggling because your bullpen can't pitch against good offenses. Like you said April. I'd rather be 2.5 out than 5 out, and where do I see you bragging? Yeah, it's pretty funny that the Phillies can lose 4 out of 5 in mid April and still be 2.5 up on the Mets. I don't know just seemed like a rude snotty comment to me, you're a Philly fan though I guess I have to hold you to a lower standard

Just pointing out that being 2.5 games behind a team struggling as badly as the Phillies is not really something the Mets should be proud of. And if you want to rip on the Phillies for beating up on poor competition, that's fine, but it isn't like the Mets have been overly successful against the "non playoff teams" you referenced. And you're really one to complain about rude snotty comments..... But back on topic....Doc Halladay...he's pretty good. Placido Polanco hurt his elbow though.... Cobb
Not surprised we didn't manage to score a run. Oh well, at least it wasn't a blowout.

The Braves actually got better swings on Doc than anybody had in his first 3 starts. The Phillies defense saved a couple of runs.
