The Regime
WDBO has learned that the Orlando Magic's Dwight Howard will be awarded the NBA's Defensive Player of the Year Award Tuesday afternoon. The Magic's All Star center wins the award for the second consecutive season. This past regular season season, Howard led the Magic to 59 victories by becoming the first player in the history of the NBA to lead the league in rebounds and blocks in more than one season. The Magic lead the Bobcats 1-0 in their first round playoff series with game two coming Wednesday night on WDBO. Howard will receive the award in a news conference at 2 p.m. at the RDV Sportsplex. http://wdbo.com/localnews/2010/04/dwight-howard-to-win-nba-defen.html Edited April 20, 2010 by Confidence

Check my Stats
Just watch the Magic playoffs games, how much easier the Bobcats score when D12 is off the floor.
Owner Real Deal Posted April 20, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted April 20, 2010 He deserves it, he held Chuck Hayes to 8 pointsYou do realize how vital he is to Orlando's team defense, right? And that's a Magic team that has more players lacking defense than it does committed defenders, and they are currently 3rd in points per 100 possessions, holding opponents to an average of .438 shooting (1st in the league), and that's mainly due to Howard. There isn't a single player in the league who is a better defensive anchor.
