The Goods
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- The Charlotte Bobcats have signed guard Gerald Henderson, less than two weeks after he was the 12th pick in the draft. Under the NBA's rookie pay scale, the former Duke star will receive about $1.6 million next season and $1.75 million a year later. The Bobcats hold options for a third year at about $1.88 million and a fourth season at $2.58 million. With the Bobcats not fielding a summer league team, Henderson will play for Minnesota's entry in Las Vegas beginning Sunday. Henderson averaged 16.5 points for the Blue Devils as a junior last season. He's expected to provide depth at shooting guard behind Raja Bell. The move Wednesday comes as the Bobcats remain silent in free agency. Charlotte is looking to add depth at power forward. http://www.nba.com/2009/news/07/08/bobcats.henderson.ap/index.html
