Well Phil you're not going to get your wish, Kobe is going to need to play over 40 minutes. guess he wont have to play 40 mins
OldChili
While there have been questionable calls, I don't think the Lakers should be complaining. They've received their own fair share of treatment over the season, and the Thunder are just outplaying them at the moment. They've been quicker to rebounds and have been playing with much more urgency. Lakers are still going to win the series, though.
NomarFachix
Etan Thomas sweet baby hook. I didn't think I'd see that again the rest of my life. Goodnight, going to bed, this night can't get better. Etan

Warren2ThaG
Why didnt Kobe score 60+ to help us win?
moeroadkill
Not really. Kobe's lack of aggression is the reason for the loss. Hopefully, the message was sent. better hope the team responds positive

ChosenOne
Why didnt Kobe score 60+ to help us win? Cause he is injured, getting old, Phil is stupid, he has no help, thunder defense, and did not get his gatorade.
Owner Real Deal Posted April 25, 2010 Author Owner Report Share Posted April 25, 2010 GOT WORKED. Don't try and blame the referees. We couldn't stop penetration, we couldn't keep the bigs off the boards, we couldn't stop the three, couldn't keep the ball in our hands. Oklahoma City laughed in our faces, showed that we are not as good as we think we are, and proved that anyone who doubted them are ignorant to the game of basketball. Real talk, no sarcasm: Kobe led the team in assists, took just 10 shots (same as Gasol, same as Bynum so far, less than Odom), hit 50% of them. Gasol played 30 minutes, pulled down just four rebounds, shot 1-3 in the third quarter (most crucial quarter in this game), and had just three assists after getting three times the amount of touches he usually gets. Next time you guys have a new gameplan that involves big men getting more shots than Bryant, look at our championship seasons: Kobe shot 22+ FGA per game in every championship playoff run minus the 2000 playoffs (where he shot 18 a game). We keep it up, we lose the series. If Kobe isn't aggressive for most of the game, the bigs see doubles, they wear out quicker, and it leads to lack of defense, rebounding, and ability to score late in the game. Basic basketball. Nothing more to say, is there? Hope some of you enjoyed the game. On to Game 5. Kobe will be his usual self from this point on.
The Regime
Let's get them in Game 5. Things certainly will be different in Staples.
OldChili
lakers shoot .1 percent worse and make 2 more FGs. lose by 21. what a [expletive]ing jokeThunder had seven more rebounds, four more steals, three more blocks, and three less turnovers. There were 30 fouls called on the Lakers, and 23 on the Thunder. In game 2, there were 30 fouls called on the Thunder, and 26 on the Lakers. Despite that, the Thunder had one more free throw attempt. Once again, the difference was that the Lakers committed many shooting fouls.
kingfish
better hope the team responds positiveOr what, your oklahoma team is going to beat LA? Cobb
Haha, the Lakers leading scorer scored 13 points while 5 people on the Thunder scored at least 13 points.
ManOnTheMoon
It was a horrible game, and Kobe was definitely not aggressive enough...but no worries, this is the Lakers they're not going to lose. The ignorance just like last year, we play only when we need to. Edited April 25, 2010 by Dazed
Poe
Looking at the box score, I don't think the amount of shots Kobe took made a difference. The Lakers and the Thunder shot an even percentage.... it's just that the Thunder went to the line a gazillion times, and LA missed nearly half of their own free throws. The Thunder also outrebounded the Lakers and had less turnovers. Edited April 25, 2010 by Poe
The Regime
Phil Jackson: "There's not much to say about this game. They took it to us.
