fish7718
Dude, he's won one playoff game in 4 years as a starter. If that doesn't scream winner then what does?Manning won 0 playoff games in 4 years as a starter...your point?
EastCoastNiner
I still don't get what is with the Tony Romo hate. 1. There are supporters of Eli Manning in here who did pretty much nothing in the most important game of his career and had his defense and a miraculous catch bail him out. That's not to mention his crazy salary. 2. Supporters' of Donvan McNabb who is perhaps the biggest choker in the NFL. He may have made the NFC Championship five times, but the fact remains he lost four of them, and lost in the Super Bowl, so it's funny giving Tony Romo [expletive] when he isn't on nearly the same choke level as him. 3. How many playoff games has Aaron Rogers won? He played well, but he still lost.

Is his salary high? Sure. Inflation, the next 5 contracts given out to franchise QBs will be similar/higher.

Not his fault the defense choked that day. Romo doesn't suck but Fish overrates him way too much. ECN, who are you taking? Rodgers or Romo? When push comes to shove Manning is not much more than above average QB who played over his head in one playoff series.

fly3rs18
romo sucks, but romo>eli and to all of eli's gay lovers, no one cares that eli won one superbowl, congrats giants defense on that one. if your argument of why eli is good is that he won a superbowl, then you also have to argue that brad johnson is a much better quarterback then donovan mcnabb. johnson has more rings right? My argument for Eli being good is his play on the field... lol. You make a compelling argument saying that both Romo and Manning suck, Eli has gay lovers, etc. etc. etc. Hard not to take you seriously. PS - Every Giants fan in the country cares that Eli won a superbowl as the MVP and led a game winning drive in the 4th against the 4th ranked NFL defense and left the Pats with under a minute on the clock. Sorry that Eagles and Cowboys fans don't, but I call that sour grapes.

NomarFachix
The 8-8 record Of course we can't overlook the 79.2 career QB rating I was right on the money with the sidestepping. You're saying that the Giants went 8-8 because of Eli Manning? With their void of defense, a regressing offensive line, and non-existent running game, Eli Manning is the main reason the Giants won 8 games. So we live in the present and call the Giants an 8-8 team and disregard their SB victory (and beating the Cowboys in the process), but we bring up career stats and not simply the stats from last year? Pick a direction, dude, and try to stick with it. Edited May 3, 2010 by Bounding and Astounding

Whether or not he played a great game doesn't matter. He led them down the field for the winning TD.

Romo has a better career record, yes Manning got hot at the right time, Romo hasn't. Still believe Romo > Rodgers >>>>> Manning.
