The Regime
Sources tell Chris Sheridan that the Heat has soured on Michael Beasley's slow growth and lack of defense, and tried to move the former second overall pick before this year's trade deadline. Pat Riley will again look to deal Beasley this off-season in order to give the Heat more salary cap flexibility. The team has room to retain Dwyane Wade and sign another maximum-salary free agent. Shedding Beasley's $5 million contract could open up enough cap space for Miami to pursue a third frontline free agent. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/66158/20100424/beasley_could_be_on_the_way_out_in_miami/

Clutch
He can come to Phoenix i dont want him gone, but i think phoenix would be the best fit for him if he were to be traded
Flash
Getting rid of him would be horrific. Why get rid of a potential 20 PPG scorer? He doesn't thrive in this system because he gets the ball in an ISO from the baseline 80% of the time. How much can you expect from a young PF in that situation? If you can get a guy who is ready to contribute on a contender for Beasley then you do it. Beasley should be a Phoenix Suns right now IMO. Their best option would be to sign someone then sign and trade Beasley for a 3rd star to round out their big 3. Jamison is dealt for expirings imagine what you get for Beasley? You deal Beasley for someone to make you a better team because you don't have time to wait with Wade in the prime of his career, he is pushing 30 now man. SRV
This is tough. Beasley has potential, but he has been extremely inconsistent. If he can have good games, then he should preform that way all the time, whenever he has the chance. Wade wants to win now, it is clear. We can't wait around for Beasley to put a streak of good games together, and trading him would be better for him, and would give us more cap space for yet another top tier free agent. Its whats best for the team and whats best for Beasley's career, cause obviously, he can't play in our system.
Cleveland's Finest
Why do people want him gone? Only his second year, where he averaged 14 and 7? For a second year, that's pretty damn good. Why just give up when there's so much more potential?

Why just give up when there's so much more potential? Because we have the ultimate knee-jerk reaction fanbase. He's 20 years old averaging 14 and 7 but is expected to be a 20/10 guy night in and night out which simply isn't possible. He was a project coming out of K-State and he's only improving. I'd definitely keep him.
Check my Stats
It is tougher to develop a player while trying to win at the same time. Beasley would probably average 20 on a team that didn't have a player more important than him on it.

The difference in his numbers are staggering when he plays at least 30 MPG compared to when he plays less. If you don't believe me go look for yourself.
