Guest Zyzz
Team officials will meet with former Dallas head coach Avery Johnson on Monday, a source told the Daily News yesterday. Johnson, who is working as an NBA analyst for ESPN, also has had preliminary contacts with the New Orleans Hornets for their head-coaching vacancy, according to the Times-Picayune. If the Hornets are seriously interested in Johnson, that might not be a good thing for the Sixers, as Johnson was born and raised in New Orleans and played the final two seasons of his college career at Southern University in Baton Rouge, La. He was married in 1991 in the city and continues to support church programs there. He also has helped in relief efforts after Hurricane Katrina. source
