Can't Save/Download Anything from Computer

Recommended Posts

This just happened recently. I'm using Firefox right now, and everything runs great. My computer is fine. However, I cannot get any files to download or save any images off of the internet. If I click to download or save as, the downloading process will occur. But after, when I check the profile, it'll say 0kb has been downloaded, so nothing happens. Any computer wizzes out there who can help with my problem?

What do you mean when you say you check the profile?

With Firefox, your downloads go into a particular folder, or on your desktop. Open up Firefox and hit CTRL+J and your downloads window should pop up. Should be a list of things.

As far as images go, that's usually unrelated to your browser's download directory.

Are you using any downloading programs (ex. Orbit) or a download accelerator?

Like I check the properties of the image/file I download, and it will end up being 0kb with nothing downloaded.

Anyways, I found a solution for the problem, sort of. It only happens on the Firefox browser, but I can download files and save images if I use Internet Explorer. I dunno what happened, maybe Firefox got corrupted or something.

That's weird.

Go to your Control Panel and uninstall Firefox (save your passwords if you need to). Then download, install and run CCleaner.

Go back to firefox.com (using IE) and re-download it, install, and see if you have any problems.
