MainEv3nt
Mavericks owner Mark Cuban said Monday that the team has opened discussions with Dirk Nowitzki on a possible contract extension. Check my Stats
They should be offering him the max, because if he goes to FA that is what he is getting.
The Truth
I think it would be the wrong decision for him to stay in Dallas. they're already the oldest team in basketball and I don't see them becoming a true title contender. Dirk needs to play alongside a dominant center who can help him on the boards.

Mentch
It wouldn't be a bad idea to trade Dirk at this point, though it seems crazy the Mavs could get a lot for him and at this point they need anything they can get.
