MainEv3nt
http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/plugged-in/how-playing-madden-online-could-cost-you-10/1398633 basically in a nutshell, if u dont buy your game brand new (meaning u buy it used, or rent it from gamefly or a store) then u have to pay $10 for an one-time online code. apparently all ea sport games that are gonna be new are doing this. NomarFachix
Meh, they're maximizing their cash intake. When you trade Madden back in to Gamestop (or wherever), EA stops making money off of it. So many people are going used over new these days (because with an edge card at gamestop you get like $10 off used games) that EA had to think of something to compensate for the money they're losing. Makes sense, just sucks if you buy used
Kobe24
It makes sense like the guy above me said. Genius on whoever thought of this in their innovations department.
