LeBron Could Have Torn Ligament In Elbow

Recommended Posts

A medical professional close to LeBron James is suggesting James is suffering from a torn ligament in his right elbow, according to a report from Fear The Sword.

"Lebron has a torn ligament in his elbow that should keep him out 6 to 8 weeks," said the source. "He's trying to play through it and not complain, so the media doesn't know it's that serious. Before game 4 he had a shot in the elbow to numb it. You can only get the shot once every 10 days, so last night he couldn't do it."

and this is from today's practice

At practice on Wednesday, LeBron James seemed to hint that his elbow injury is more severe than he has acknowledged.

"The elbow is an issue I'll deal with in the offseason," James said.

James also addressed criticism that the Cavs did not give enough effort in Game 5.

"Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. But you can't question the effort we had," James said.

"We tried to do the things we wanted to do with the gameplan that was given to us but it just didn't work," he added.

LeBron did say there are no excuses for what that's worth. I think the Cavs should've considered sitting him for Game 5. We saw how good he was Game 3 with four days rest, and if we were going to get blown out in game five anyways, might as well have rested him.

Why does he block shots so hard if there can be something torn?

he's like piccolo from dbz, he regenerates...the ligament gets re-torn after those hard blocks and dunks

but nah seriously..i think its probably true..ive never seen lebron play like this before..even though he is still gettin his stats god knows how lol

He shot the ball badly in that last game (3-14), but just one thing: Boston did the same to Wade in the second halves of a few games, locked him up pretty damn good, so I really don't know. I do realize the elbow is hurt, but a tear?

Either the MRI's were read wrong (which should be unacceptable given the fact that they should have some of the best doctors in the country performing and reading them), or this tear just happened.

A clip I found on youtube. Was all that really due to his elbow? I can understand the poor jumpshooting, but that was only a part of LeBron's poor performance. If his right elbow was really bothering him this much, you'd think he'd use his left more. He is left-handed after all.

Yeah, but the difference is that Wade was still aggressive, assertive, and he never tuned out. I don't know whether LeBron is injured or not, but whatever it is, it's f'ing with his head and he's not in a good place right now.
