The Regime
When LeBron James and the Cavaliers fell behind in their second-round playoff series, the Knicks' phone lines were jammed with people inquiring about purchasing a season-ticket package. According to the New York Times, Knicks' season tickets have been selling strongly for several weeks but the switchboard at the Garden has been particularly busy since the Cavs were blown out at home on Tuesday. That loss put Cleveland on the brink of elimination, a fate the team suffered Thursday in Boston. Garden spokesman Barry Watkins said the Knicks have sold about 2,700 new season tickets, 300 this week alone. “If LeBron comes and brings someone like Chris Bosh with him, this is going to be the hottest ticket in town,” said one prospective ticket buyer. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/66583/20100514/knicks_ticket_sales_spiking/

Chris Bosh. I guess some people in this world have incredible imaginations. Definitely looking forward to seeing what happens if Lebron doesn't end up going to New York. NomarFachix
So they've sold 11% of their new season tickets this week? So what? I don't get it. The 2011 season for the Knicks is going to be 100% improved (at least) from the 2010 season, obviously people are excited and are going to buy season tickets. Whoever we get is going to be an improvement over T-Mac, Al Harrington, Jonathan Bender, Chris Duhon, etc. Plus we still have Eddy Curry. Which is a draw in itself. Art
The resell value of these tickets would spike drastically if LeBron does go to NY.
