Hill's Objective Guarding Kobe Will Be To Make Him Work

Recommended Posts

The Suns asked Jason Richardson to guard Kobe Bryant during the regular season, but Grant Hill is expected to take on the responsibility when the Western Conference Finals begin on Monday.

"You just try to make a guy like that work," Hill said of Bryant, who is six years his junior. "You've got to go in ready to compete and not be discouraged. He'll make shots even when there's defense.

"A lot of what they do goes through him. He's just a guy who is capable of taking over a game. You can do everything right and good offense trumps good defense. He's seen it all. He's been in these situations. He's playing hurt. He's willing his body and his team to victory. I didn't watch any film before the last two series but I might watch some before this series. I want to make sure the edits are of his misses."

Bryant averaged 27.5 points against Phoenix this season on 54.4 percent shooting.

Grant Hill & Dudley are gonna get worked by the Black Mamba

Grant Hill is the best defender on that team by far and he'll have have the best chance slowing Kobe down. I have no idea where the [expletive] Dudley came from, dude is a joke imo, completely a one dimensional player.

There have been analysts saying Dudley will also be guarding Kobe and Dudley also himself siad he will go after Kobe's finger. But anyways both are getting worked this series.

I love Grant Hill, and I'm sure he'll do okay on Kobe...but Jared Dudley will look like a scrub. He should probably keep from saying more ignorant comments, because typically, that's what fuels Kobe's fire. Ask Charles Barkley, and then talk to Deron Williams, and he'll tell you that Chuck owes Kobe an apology and it hurt the Jazz in the long run.
