HipHopHead
Haven't really liked many albums this year (hurry the [expletive] up Jay Elec) but I have enjoyed Distant Relatives from what I've heard so far. Gotta check out Reflection Eternal's album and Plastic Beaches (why the [expletive] haven't I downloaded it yet?).

kadillak
I think I'll give Revolutions Per Minute a slight edge over Distant Relatives. Both are OUTSTANDING albums, but I simply like and can relate to more songs on RPM. "Ballad of the Black Gold" is an absolutely ill stand-out song, I agree with most of Kweli's lines on today's politics, and Hi-Tek somehow managed to be like the second or third producer to actually get my car's speakers to bump (haha). Distant Relatives is ill, too. "Patience" and "In His Own Words" are probably my favorite tracks with "Strong Will Continue", "As We Enter", "Tribal Wars", and "My Generation" all being solid as well. Definitely will be purchasing both of the albums some time this week when I get a chance to drop by Best Buy. I think the only ones I'm really looking forward to now are Recovery, J. Cole's debut, and The Ecology. I'll give Kanye and Drake's albums a chance, I suppose. Kind of have some hope for Kanye, but I don't like what I've heard from the Drake leaks. Then there's LASERS which I'm losing hope in by the day. Since the year started, J. Cole's album was the one I've looked forward to the most -- not because I expected the most out of it lyrically, but because he's my favorite artist. Liked what he had to say about the content of his album today in the Vibe interview. Dunno if Fashawn plans to drop The Ecology this year or not. He said he doesn't know right now, and I hope he doesn't drop it this year because it seems like it'd be kind of rushed with Boy Meets World dropping not all too long ago plus the two mixtapes he has dropping this summer. That's incorrect on so many different levels. But I'll just say "ok" and move along with my afternoon.

xx.
The best remix album of the year is by far The Notorious XX and probably the best I ever had. It's a combination of The XX and Biggie, unreal idea and work. The new Roots album is looking great they are working with a lot of indie artists that are helping them out with some producing and just background work like Joanna Newsom for voice and extra intruments and Dirty Projectors for producing. I just saw them in April actually and they were amazing live. Edited May 21, 2010 by NeTs15VC

But yeah college music because its great music to just chill to or especially when you smoke some trees or othaa stuff that can't be said on this forum yeeeee Paul.... imagine back in your college days listening to this while... yeah heheheheh =D the new crystal castles album unreal beats blows your mind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WwqlMhJytQI
BasX
Pitchfork is okay, I go to Sputnik because it's more diverse towards my tastes though it is more towards the Post-Rock, Post-Metal and Metal areas. All my friends live off of Pitchfork though so I can't hate on it. Edited May 21, 2010 by BasX
