Riley says that Miami needs a commitment from Wade before the club begins putting pieces around him, while Wade wants to see that the team is set up to contend before signing on the dotted line. "Coach Riley opened up the wound when he said, 'Until Dwyane signs back, we can't do anything,' " Wade told the Miami Herald on Thursday. "But me and Pat Riley are not against each other. We both want the same thing. He wants to win, and wants to make sure the Heat are on the same track. So he says he'll stay if we contend, if we don't, then I guess he leaves. Though, I don't get it. Why doesn't he just stay so we can get Bosh next year? I'm sure Bosh wants to play in Miami, and I'm sure Wade would love Bosh pairing up with him. Actually, with the lowering cap, Riley has the advantage. Riley is doing what's best for the franchise in this situation. If Wade wants to play hardball then that's what Pat will do. If Wade wants to play hardball then that's what Pat will do. Just cause the cap is lower doesn't mean Riley has all the leverage. Wade can easily make max money somewhere else. Riley cannot afford to play hardball with Wade as Wade will leave. If he does leave I expect him to go to Chicago. Back to his hometown. Rose & Wade in the back court would be lethal.
