xx.
I'm all for this, the Nets is way too simple and nothing exciting. Plus, its way too close to the Mets. Click here
NomarFachix
Someone called WFAN and suggested "Brooklyn Dodgers". Would never happen, sounds silly anyway. Too bad Charlotte exists, Brooklyn Bobcats sounds good.

Poe
"Let me ask you some questions," Prokhorov said to a small group of reporters during a private brunch meeting at the Four Seasons Hotel in Manhattan. "What about the name of the team? Is it okay, the Nets? Or do we have to try to find something new? "I'm a foreigner, you know," he said. "I need your piece of advice. I can put Russian name and nobody knows what it is. I can put the name of a girlfriend and every time I change, I need to change the name of the team." Teletopez
I like "Nets," whether it's Brooklyn Nets or New York Nets. He had an odd conversation with Mike Francesa over the possibility: MF: "Someone told me you're thinking of changing the name of the team". MP: "It's not easy to comment on all the rumors". MF: "Is that one accurate?" MP: "I think no". MF: "Okay, so it will stay the Nets?" MP: "I hope so (laughs)" MF: "You do? Because there has been that rumor. I was driving in with my guys and we were discussing that there was a rumor that you were going to change the name of the team. I said what are you going to change it to? So if you were going to change it, do you have another name in mind?" MP: "For the time being, no." MF: "Oh, so for the time being no. You left the door open for the audience. You said 'for the time being'." MP: "Please, don't hesitate to contact me if you hear any other rumors on this subject, Okay?" MF: "So you may change the name of the team?" MP: "I have no ideas, for the time being." If Mikhael Prokhorov wants to change Nets name, he has until October first to apply for the name change to go into effect for '12-'13 season@ChrisMannixSI
Klashnekoff
I'm all for this, the Nets is way too simple and nothing exciting. Plus, its way too close to the Mets. Click here Just no. It stays the Nets otherwise i wouldn't bother being a fan after close to 16 years of fanship. Prokhorov better not screw this team up!
