Dash
Got this off the Wolves board, not sure if this is legit though. Rumors flying out of Portland that the Blazers are looking to do a deal with the T-Wolves for Al Jefferson. Players rumored going the other way are Joel Pryzbilla, Rudy Fernandez/ Martell Webster (One or the other) and numerous combinations of $'s and draft picks. Joel is done but might be thrown in the deal to make the numbers work. Fernandez is interesting, he struggled bad this year but a change of scenery might help him and acquiring him might entice Ricky to get over here. Draft picks are also nice but its not much a strong offer unless Batum is in the deal.
Check my Stats
All those players suck compared to Jefferson, this is probably BS. EDIT: Honestly though, I wouldn't put anything past the Wolves. Edited May 23, 2010 by travesy3
Owner Real Deal Posted May 23, 2010 Owner Report Share Posted May 23, 2010 Wouldn't make sense for the Wolves to make that trade, because they can get much more out of Jefferson. And if Portland has given up on Oden, they do the deal...except, it's a shame they think that sticking Jefferson at center will turn them into a contender. Dash
Portland has some nice young pieces that could help out a team like Minny A LOT (Oden, Batum, Rudy, etc), but Pritchard's trade offers are always known to be one-sided. Portland would have had a top four seed in the west this year had they been healthy. adding Jefferson to the roster would most definitely make them into a contender. it might not be quite enough to win them a title, but they'd be a top 3-4 team in the west for sure. Dr. Feelgood
Portland is never going to trade Batum. As for this trade...eh, not so sure about it.
