Jackson Will Consider Sitting 'Ineffective' Bynum

Recommended Posts

Lakers center Andrew Bynum played his worst game of the postseason since suffering a slight tear of the meniscus in his right knee in the first round.

Bynum had two points and two rebounds in less than eight minutes in the team's 118-109 loss to the Suns on Sunday night in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

"I'll talk to him to see what his suggestion is about it and how he feels about it," coach Phil Jackson said.

"I think he was ineffective. There were some things that got by him. He had one nice move in the post. Defensively I thought he was a little bit late."

Phoenix forward Amar'e Stoudemire excelled, posting 42 points and 11 rebounds.

"I was ineffective, that's obvious," Bynum said.

Lakers Won't Bench Bynum For Game 4

The Lakers won't bench center Andrew Bynum for Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals against the Suns.

Los Angeles coach Phil Jackson said following Sunday night's Game 3 loss that he would consider doing so after the center was largely ineffective.

"bynum will play in game 4 for lakers," Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports wrote on his Twitter page.
