What can you do in 30 seconds or less?

According to wezen-ball.com, Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz can't run the bases after a home run in that time span, which he proved in the top of the second inning on Monday night in Tampa Bay.

Wezen-ball.com has a "Tater Trot Tracker," which times major league home run trots. According to the tracker, Papi's trot lasted 30.59 seconds, a 2010 major league high this season, from batter's box to home plate.

Before Big Papi bashers run rampant in the comments section, the slow slugger stumbled out of the gate, as he bumped into home plate umpire Tim Tschida while leaving the batter's box. Tschida ran out from behind the catcher and raced up the line to get a better view on whether the ball stayed fair or went foul.

Larry Granillo, the author of the post, goes on to compare Papi's time to that of Adam Rosales, whom Granillo proves to be "the quickest (non-inside-the-park) trotter in the game." Rosales hit a big blast back on April 28 and managed to get around the bags in 15.89 seconds -- almost half the amount of time it took the Sox DH on Monday.

Ortiz obviously isn't the quickest guy in the league, as proven by the top 10 slowest trotters this season.

1. Ortiz - May 24, 30.59 (seconds)

2. Ortiz - May 17, 29.81

3. Ortiz - May 14 (No. 2), 29.42

4. Alex Gonzalez - Apr. 21, 29.28

5. Ortiz - May 14 (No. 1), 29.07

6. Ortiz - May 1 (No. 2), 28.95

7. Orlando Cabrera - May 5, 28.90

8. Jose Guillen - Apr. 11 (No. 2), 28.36

9. Bengie Molina - Apr. 12, 27.95

t- 10. Guillen - Apr. 12, 27.89

t-10. Miguel Cabrera - Apr. 8, 27.89

And as for the MLB's quickest trotters, Roselas holds the top two spots.

1. Rosales - Apr. 11, 15.86 (seconds)

2. Rosales - Apr. 28, 15.87

3. Chris Heisey - May 19, 17.11

4. Jason Heyward - Apr. 20, 17.18

5. Joey Votto - May 4, 17.45

6. Michael Saunders - May 9, 17.53

8. Scott Rolen - May 4, 17.59

9. Felipe Lopez - May 18, 17.61

10. Orlando Hudson - April 17, 17.64

Somwhere, Joe West is having a fit.

lol @ Joe West comment, I watched the video and you could tell it was taking longer than it should to trot the bases the ball got out and he was about 1/4 of the way down the line then they showed a replay and everything and he wasn't even at second base yet.

If you don't want them to admire their HR, don't let it happen. That's how I look at it.

Did you watch the video? lol it has nothing to do with admiring his homerun it was him basically walk around the bases. It doesn't make me angry anyway it's just sad how slow he is around the bases.

what a fat [expletive].....he doesnt need to worry he doesn't hit too many anymore......i guess he got tired of the 'roids.

I don't like him much, but the irony of this post is too much to take. .

Assuming you are a Yankees fan, he has more HR's than Texiera and A-Roid.

Also, the Yankees are the LAST team to be talking about people using roids. .
