The Regime
While rumors pegged LeBron James, Derrick Rose and even Tyreke Evans as favorites to appear on the cover of "NBA 2K11," multiple sources have told ESPN that the company has gone in a completely different direction, signing basketball legend Michael Jordan as its new spokesman. This will be the first time that a former player will appear on the front of the box for 2K, and with Jordan taking over majority ownership of the Charlotte Bobcats, it will also be the first time that a team owner will endorse the popular franchise. But the real question is, what value -- beyond obvious name and iconic image recognition -- will Jordan bring to the game? In the era of Kobe and King James, are gamers still yearning to "Be Like Mike"? http://espn.go.com/espn/thelife/videogames/blog/_/name/thegamer/id/5222964/jordan-grace-nba-2k11-cover

Cleveland's Finest
Just when you thought LeBron would finally be on the cover.
JWaLL
I really don't see the point of this.
kingfish
Lol so hes refused to be in video games all these years now hes on the cover? I hope hes in the game and is a playable character. He will probably be rating 99.
reno
Sick, bout time we get an MJ cover. And he should be a rating 100, not 99 :glasses:
NomarFachix
Yeah right, Jordan should be a 74. He was nothing without Bill Wennington, Will Purdue, Luc Longley, and the rest of the beastmode centers he got to ride to titles.

Brand New
I would of preferred to see Derrick Rose.
bigdog17k
It seems random for MJ to just grace this cover now... would've expected to see LeBron or Durant on it.

SRV
How random is that, Jordan is pretty irrelevant at the moment. I mean, he got inducted into the Hall of Fame recently, but what reason does he have to be on the cover now?
fish7718
I would of preferred to see Derrick Rose.Agreed, this is DUMB Edited May 27, 2010 by Fish7718
Smitty
...It's just a cover. Yeah it can be cool to look at but we're not gonna be looking at the cover the entire time. As long as the game is good, Adam Morrison could be on the cover for all I care.
reno
ea should use Delonte West on their cover.

There's a reason when he left that MJ didn't win [expletive]. Then came along Dennis Rodman. He did [expletive] without them.

Newman
It's official and Jordan will be helping to develop the game as well.

JWaLL
Apparently Jordan is a playable character as well. Can't wait for that.
